  1. A diner is a diner is a diner. That used to be my conventional wisdom, but with the prevalence of the Food Network and shows like Diner's Drive-ins and Dives it shows that many places have been stepping up the game. Park City is more in line with my preconceived notions of a diner. Perhaps that is my reasoning for only 3 stars.

I do like the size of the place and all the comfy booths, but they are starting to show a little wear. The menu has items found in most any diner, but during the week they have certain food nights (shrimp, prime rib, etc.). For me, I tend to stick to the basics – breakfast items, wraps, burgers, sandwiches.

I've been here a few times over the years and the food has always been decent and sometimes a little off the mark with issues such as cold fries, bland and soggy wraps, dry chicken.

The service is usually good – friendly and efficient. Can never say I had an issue.

If I was more impressed with the food I probably would go more often, but for the most part this place does what a diner should do, but getting older makes me realize more and more how valuable my time is so why do I want to go out of my way to eat A-OK food?

  2. Tried here for the first time today and hit prime rib night. As you can see from my picture, the presentation is fantastic. Way beyond your typical diner plate. If only the prime rib was near as outstanding as it looked. It wasn't bad, it was just what you'd expect from diner prime rib – very mediocre. We all found it bland. The lemon potatoes served with it were excellent.

I've been back several times for lunch since and their salads are terrific. I've had the skirt steak salad and the Waldorf salad with salmon. For both salads the greens were crisp and tasty, the accompaniments (capers, tomatoes, etc) were all excellent and the proteins on top were first rate.

The service has been  very helpful and friendly each time we've been and make eating here a pleasure. I won't say its the best diner food I've eaten, but you will find me here a lot because it is the best diner in the area.

  3. "Would you like a bread basket?"….*brings bread basket 20 mins later*
"Could we get the check"…*waits 15 minutes…reminds waiter…* "yeah I'm doing it now"

Had this "establishment" been busy, I would have been a little more understanding about waiting. However, it was empty and the waiters weren't doing much. Now I understand why the man next to me left a two dollar tip. meh.

  4. Really an awesome place for a Diner.  They have a really huge selection.  The food is really fresh and tasty.  I have been there several time with Gary and I have not been disappointed at all.

  5. Big…bright with a friendly staff.  This diner serves a top notch meal (at least anything I have had.)  They have typical diner prices for the typical diner food where I am usually looking for a reasonable portion of good hot food.  Burgers, Pot Roast and Turkey have always been consistently good…  (not fatty, over or undercooked.)

I have more breakfasts there than any other meal and again, the generous portions have come out hot by a friendly server.

I recommend "Park City" if you're in the area and looking for some good diner food.
