  1. Wait staff has been decent whenever I have come here. Occasionally, I will have a really snooty waitress but working at iHop isn't the easiest. I think serving breakfast can be very stressful (probably more than any other meal of the day).

Blueberry Pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns….delicious. Good value. Of course it isn't healthy.

I think I love this location so much because of the location. Something about being in Manhasset, and eating pancakes on a weekend morning, and visiting the shopping centers afterwards.

  2. OK, this is not a one star review based on the food (which is always sometimes between 2 and 3 for standard chain restaurants).  This one star review is based solely on service (or lack thereof).

As can be expected on any given weekend, this place was packed and there was a wait.  I put my name in for my party of 5 and had a seat.  About 20 minutes passed and lots of people started to leave, so I figured we were about due since almost everyone who had gotten there before us had gotten seated.  The hostess seated a party of the same size as mine (they were the last group that came in before me) and then inexplicably took a group of 7 which came in 10 minutes after me and seated them.

Given the fact that I'm neither blind nor deaf, I walked up to the hostess and asked her what the deal was.  She admitted that yes, I had gotten there first and that yes, my name was ahead of the party of 7.  When I asked why the hell she would seat them first, she said "Well, they requested this specific waitress and once a table opened that she serviced, I gave it to them".  I looked at her like she had 2 heads and asked her if that was the way things worked here, specifically if I made a special request for a certain server if I could skip the line.  She looked at me like I just farted in her face and she said, "Well, there's another table that might be getting up soon so I'm sure you won't have to wait that long".  I'm not one to be brushed off by IHOP hostesses so I made her get the manager.

When I told him what happened, he said that what she did was entirely improper and that she should have seated us first.   While he apologized, he did nothing to discipline this horrible employee and I told him to his face in front of her that he should fire this employee who clearly doesn't understand how to treat customers.  I'm not looking for special treatment but I do want to be treated the same as everyone else who is waiting to pay money.  The manager did nothing to make up for his employee's stupidity so an additional 5 minute wait ensued while they scrambled to clear a table and ironically enough, they sat me right next to the table of 7 who jumped me in line to be served by the same server (she was great BTW).  I seriously hope whomever owns this IHOP reads this and fires both the hostess and the manager since they clearly have no clue how to treat patrons. If they both happen to still be gainfully employed at this location the next time I stop by, I will be highly disappointed.

  3. I love IHOP. Great family place and full menu,  something for everyone. This visit we tried the red velvet pancakes. They were very sweet as I figured. Lucky I didn't do a stack,  just two.

My kids love the rooty Jr kids menu where you choose what meat and toppings you like besides your egg. And they serve Kraft macaroni and cheese if you're not wanting breakfast.  Lol

My favorite breakfast is the meat lovers omelet and side of hash browns,  the skinny fried potato shreds. I also like their patty shaped hash browns as well. I love potatoes what can I say.

My hubby likes that this place is economical and great menu selections. Only thing is the long wait times. But it moves pretty quickly if you don't go at a bad time. Try to get there before noon.

The other thing worth mentioning is their soups and bottomless coffee. They have a few soup choices … NE Clam Chowder,  cheesey tomato soup,  loaded potato soup with bacon and cheese, french onion,  ie.

We would go back any time!

  4. Me and the G man were just feeling all IHop(ish) so decided to head to breakfast time.

Nicole was our waitress today and she has been our waitress in a previous visit and she is pretty awesome. Nicole comes back to the table to check on how your doing and never seems annoyed if you need anything extra.

There is nothing truly amazing about the food here…its average at best. But the food is served hot, the place is clean and the service is great.

So this review is about Nicole…she is great and we would be happy to eat the mediocre food if only to have the happy soul of Nicole as our server.

  5. Not bad for what it is. I have to admit this is the best IHOP I have ever been to. I went here to make my girlfriend happy because I have had only bad experiences at IHOP's before. But I have to admit this place was pretty darn well run. Also I didn't feel sick after, so that's a plus.

We went on Halloween, which is a weird day to go to IHOP, but it was nice. The waiters and waitresses were all dressed up in individual costumes. There was even a box to leave a vote on who wore the best costume. Have to admit it was a nice touch.

The only negative is I had to wait a long time for coffee. The only reason I went is because I wanted to drink a bunch of coffee and it didn't come until halfway through the meal. But, it was busy and Halloween so they get a pass. I can understand its a rough day.

They still have the non-maple syrup, "syrups made out of high fructose corn syrup". So I avoid that stuff and felt ok.

  6. Hey ihop! It's been years since i've been to an ihop. Nothing much has changed which is exaclty what i wanted…

Except the gosh-darn SYRUPS. What happened to all the sugary berry syrups?! Is this some kind of joke? I came here for boysenberry syrup! I was so sad. How long ago did this happen?

Lol all jokes aside, despite being busy, my boyfriend and i were served very quickly  🙂 had an ok waitress with no problems. Garrett had stuffed french toast which was DELICIOUS but slightly cold. It was soft raisin bread toast with cream in parts of the center doused in strawberry syrup.
I had the strawberry rhubarb cream cheese crepe which was SO good. It came with a combo of two eggs, hash browns, bacon and sausage. The crepe was so sweet and soft. Creamy cream cheese filling to die for. Sweet but a good "ihop" kind of sweet. Basically a dream meal.
Again some things were cold but it's ihop. Fancier fast food.

Bill was great. Around $9 for each of us for A LOT of food. My boyfriend was skeptical at first but i made him a believer. Hopefully i'll have an excuse to come back soon 🙂

(Still sad about the boysenberry syrup but i'll live)

  7. I can't believe I'm saying this, but nothing, NOTHING, beats an IHOP meal when you are post-call and borderline delirious with your other equally sleep-deprived co-residents. #reslife, y'all!

  8. I never been to this location so my friend Andrea G. popped my cherry today ::wink::! The parking lot was super packed when we arrived. I went inside to see how long is the wait for a table and the girl with the clipboard mentioned it was less than 5 mins. She gave me a nice tip about parking next door at the funeral home. That was so convenient and my friend did an U turn over to the funeral home. Definitely plenty of parking spaces towards the back so be kind to the funeral home's customers and don't park in the spaces at the entrance. We cut through the little path between the tree brushes.

I already knew what I wanted when I spotted the picture of Chicken & Pumpkin Spice Waffle *hubba hubba*! When it was time to order, our server told me that there was no more pumpkin batter and I frowned like a little girl. She took my friend's order of Spinach & Mushroom Omelette + a stack of Original Buttermilk Pancakes with a pot of decaf coffee. My eyes were fixated on the festive flavors menu but I ended up getting a combo of Sunny Side-Up Eggs + 2 Slices of Bacon + Berries & Cream Belgian Waffle. I jokingly told the server that I am pretending this is the pumpkin batter mmmmm *she looked at me and smile* hehehe

Definitely a more festive and clean IHOP location so check it out when you are hungry!
