  1. Rooty Tootie fresh and fruity.

  2. Went to Ihop this morning with my son. I used to go here when he last lived in Bloomfield. Seems like it's improved since I was last there.

Service was good and perky. The young lady was nice and my food was received the way I wanted it (I asked for the blueberries to be in the pancakes, without the blueberry compote on top). Food was ok, it's Ihop, it'll never be anything special. I don't get the whole "adding pancake mix to the omelets" thing.  If you're gluten intolerant, avoid it. I didn't order an omelet because I just don't like that whole concept.

The place was clean, the bathroom was clean, so it's definitely ok.

  3. There's not much I can write for an IHOP. The only thing I noticed was that there's plenty of seating and the servers are really slow. a couple of friends were really hungry after running Brookdale park nearby so we walked here for breakfast afterwards.

My friend said her used to come here often and he noticed a few renovations. such as the new paint when you walk in.

I would give this place a better rating if we received our food in under 30 minutes.

  4. Not my favorite IHOP branch. I came here nearly two or three weeks ago and waited more than 15 minutes for my breakfast food; a 2x2x2 scrambled, with shelled eggs, bacon, and a side of Harvest Grain N Nut pancakes instead of traditional buttermilk. Let me tell you as a previous server of IHOP, if I was a secret shopper for IHOP that day, this place who sure have nearly failed their standards of 9 – 11 minutes from order to table.

On top of the poor timing, my pancakes were pathetic looking. Two toned, one looked like it was made on the very edge of the flat top where there was no room. It was just disappointing to see that there was no TLC applied to my food. Oh! And the old fashioned maple syrup that you usually find on table? I found a strand of long black hair on it!

If there were any pluses to this place, my eggs I had ordered shelled, came out correctly, and they were quick to supply me with hot maple syrup upon request. My boyfriend's custom omelette was rather above my satisfactory levels. Would I honestly come back? No. Just another reason why I frown upon chain restos.

  5. It's an IHOP.  It gets crowded on the weekends, but is fairly empty during the week.  All of the food is what you'd expect it to be.  The pancakes are solid, and all of the breakfast items are done well.  If you venture outside of the breakfast foods, you roll the dice and take your chances.
The service is prompt and courteous.

I remember they used to leave you a full carafe of coffee.  Now, no matter what you say, the carafe they give you is half filled.  It's frustrating, but they keep it coming.

  6. Like another yelper said, "It's an IHOP."  You can't walk in here with high expectations. Yes, many times its crowded, especially weekend and holiday mornings so you might have to wait awhile,  but the service is decent and the food is what you would expect from an IHOP. I always go to IHOP for their hash browns. So yummy!

  7. I had the sirloin tips with eggs and hash browns. The sirloin tips were on the dry side. Which is what's to be expected from a food chain in this case iHop where breakfast is their specialty not Steaks. Did I enjoy it anyway…. Yes, I did because like I said,  it was expected.  Had I been sitting in Wollenskys, Peter Luger's, Sparks or Keens Steakhouse and served that, I would be crying bloody murder. I would then grab the cooks by their bollocks and serve them to each other… Well Ummmm… Not quite but you get the picture lol… Now would I go back to have it again…sure..
