  1. The service here is a hit or miss- I've gotten a sweet lady in her 30s who smiled and was happy to serve us. Got orders, drinks, and the food taken care of quickly. Obviously she got a prettyyy nice tip 😉 On the other hand, I have gotten the curt lady in her 20s who wanted to get out of there asap. She is a hostess as well as a waitress I believe. And while I don't think I'm a picky person nor do I complain (ever), it was downright a mood killer just going to Dennys and having a waitress who doesn't give a quick "You're welcome".

Other than that, the food is pretty good! I never know what I want to eat and it takes me a while to look over everything (especially the $2, 4, 6, 8 specials!). The nachos there are pretty good too if you're looking for a quick midnight fix 🙂 I've had the chicken parm ($8 special) a few times and I could never finish it. Order items from that menu! Oh and the pancake puppies are yummy too. I had the sundae it comes with & for $2, yay my sweet tooth was satisfied!

All of the drinks they serve are also great. I love love love Pineapple Dream and Pacific Chiller. You get free refills on them too!

If you want a quick bite at low prices, this is the place to go. It's not the best diner (obvs .. it's a chain) but it's somewhere I'd revisit many times in the future!

  2. Denny's in its hey day was the place to go but through the years it has dwindled down to just another teenage, old person dump. I too was one of those teenagers who hung out with "their crew" and drank coffee and ate fries all hours of the wee night. Its gone through ups and downs and still hasn't recovered, BUT its cheap and the coffee is still decent. Anyone from surrounding areas know that Denny's was the place to hang on a friday night or saturday with their favorite waitress, who by the way is still there, barely. Its not a diner per se but an iconic geographic landmark, lol. Its where you go to catch up with old and new friends. The food there is not 5 star and neither is the service but its a place to hang out after 9pm when everything else is closed in this dismal town. It's the place you go after you get out of the bar and try to sober up. From breakfast, salads and midnite snacks theres something for everyone even the desserts are good for those midnite munchie sweet tooths.

  3. I'm going three stars cause if money's tight they have several options. You have to catch me on a pretty good day for me to go to Denny's. Growing up just blocks from this location it used to be great for that 2 am wasted meal or as one of the few 24 hr options in EB. (before IHOP turned 24 hrs) Anytime somebody brings up Denny's all I can think about is the wait time. This Denny's used to be packed every weekend night with people who had no place to go once the mall closed. Mostly some punks that just wanna drink endless coffee and barely tip so the waitress' are pissed at all the other clients. I hate those people….just go home. I just don't see the need to play Magic the Gathering till 4 AM and Denny's. I know what to expect of the food….somewhere in between middle of the road and lame. It really depends on what you get. I can not complain about $4 all you can eat pancakes. The $2 $4 $6 $8 menu does have plenty of options ranging from breakfast to dinner to desert. Every now and then the latest pancake puppies are the only cure for some red eyes. My girlfriend loves the Veggie burger….but she loves them everywhere. Often times you can even score some Denny's coupons in the local coupon clipper or something like that. I know I did not review the food much but it's all the same and most people have had Denny's. I felt it more necessary to report on some of the things like the long wait time or crowd. Speaking of the crowd…once 5 big WWF (WWE if your under 20) looking meat heads came in this place piss drunk. They sat down and proceeded to talk shit about EVERY SINGLE PERSON in the place….Everything from comments on people's weight to their race!!! It's no surprise that when one of them left their car lights on and a manager came in announcing what kind of car it was that they ended up going home with a shattered windshield…..Hm

  4. Good value for what it is and that's a chain diner that markets itself well nationwide.  Many aspects in life require expectation modification. I typically go to a buffet looking for quantity over quality, the mall provides tons of stores albeit minimal high end designers, blind date with your grandma's friends niece and a a meal at a chain.

Denny's has all the normal diner fair on a lesser quality scale, but the prices are consistency affordable and the food rarely varies in delivery from chain to chain. I have to admit my last 4 visits involved friends or me enjoining the free breakfast slam. $7 but FREE for the B-dayer includes 2 eggs cooked your way,2 bacon, 2 sausage links & 2 pancakes (coffee is extra boo). Yes they have all the basic lunch and dinner options priced well again, but I don't think I've dined on anything other then breakfast.

So if breakfast is on you mind at any time go get your Denny's on especially if your B-day is or was within the last week.

  5. Stopped in on our way home. There were a few people waiting but it didn't take long to get seated.  Have never really bothered with Dennys much and if I do, it is usually for breakfast. Today I grabbed a burger and have to say it was pretty good. Good size and cooked properly. Can't ask for much more from a Dennys. To top it off, we had a very nice waitress who was friendly and did her job well!!

  6. Not very lively or crowded whenever I did come here. I like a little more energy in the place when I eat, with people chatting, noises of people eating. Here it seems a bit more subdued, like a truck stop on the highway where people eat quickly and go. I know realistically that's not the case — there are families and couples here, but still. Just my first initial vibe. Also, the colors are kind of dark. Doesn't feel bright and airy like iHop which is coincidentally, right down the road.

Always able to find a seat!

Not an open floor plan kind of space, so it feels like you're close off from others, OR have more privacy — whichever is your preference.

to the right when you walk in, there are little bar stool chairs, giving off that above stated truck stop diner vibe. It's definitely unique for sure. so if you want to sit there for something different, go for it!

I've always had good service. Waiters came around on time, I wasn't hounding or flagging them down.

  7. Place isnt bad. I would prefer this over perkins and consider it comparable to ihop but I like their 2/4/6/8 menu. I started with the cheese quesadilla and got the chicken chorizo skillet. I thought it was pretty good and the service was quick even though it was crowded

  8. Been here a number of times for my pancake-bacon-eggs fix. Quick, hospitable, consistent. Weekends get crowded, so it's sometimes a 5 min wait to be seated. Coffee's not bad but always wish they had some choices in that department. Have tried a couple of the breakfast skillets as well, and they've been filling (and a little greasy). The convenience/ proximity will ensure we pop in once in a while.
