Dive bar so don't expect a bright clean cut place. Nice size bar in the middle of the place with a few tables I the back. The drinks are cold and cheap and the food is great and HUGE! I love that many people do t come here because it's a great spot to pound a few drinks and stuff URE face with some legit bar good!
So this place had a somewhat townie/divey feel to it and thats exactly why i like it.
Atmosphere:
A mix of mid 20 year olds all the way up to late 40 year olds all living in perfect harmony. Added benefit there was an AC/DC cover band all night.
Service:
Our waitress was a sweet lady, she came around enough to be helpful and not too much that she was overbearing. I only wish she had told us how big the cheesesteak was (which if you are wondering is f'ing enourmous. sorry for my harsh letters).
Food:
We ordered a cheesesteak, sweet potato fries (with maple bacon dipping sauce), chicken tacos, chicken fingers, and a few small plates. A couple people i was with ordered a burger and some disco fries.
Everything we got was very tasty. The cheesesteak is enough for 2 maybe 3 people. The chicken in the tacos is sliced chicken finger style chicken but the taco itself was very good. The sweet potato fries and maple bacon sauce was pretty unbelievable. The burger was big but cooked correctly. And tasty.
The menu itself is big and has a lot of pretty interesting things. They put doritos on a burger. Thats awesome.
Go here have a beer, and eat like a king. All for relitively cheap as well.
I'm pretty sure that this is the only bar in Washington Township, and the closest bar to my house, but I had never bothered trying it out until recently.
The Dog House Saloon and Grill is a dive bar that happens to serve surprisingly good food. They have a decent amount of craft beers on tap and run pretty good specials throughout the week. There is a dart board and a pool table, and live bands play weekends.
The burgers here are ridiculous. I like the Poppin' Burger, which features bacon, jalapenos, jalapeno poppers, cheese, lettuce, red onions, and some kind of horseradish sauce. The add-ons are great on their own. The burger has been cooked as I ordered the two times I've had it. And it comes with a huge pile of fries.
The fries are very good. Like Five Guys fries, but better. I like cheese fries, so I get their cheese sauce on em. The cheese sauce is better than average, but not better than the cheese at Mark Burger.
I'll probably be here more often now that I know how good it is.
