  1. As much as I don't want to, I have to lower my rating.  The improvements that were promised is not happening fast enough to this potentially great pub.

I had high hopes for this place because I so loved the customers and the new owner.  I still do but haven't seen any real changes to menu, which I was told was going to be modernized and soon.  Then one day I was driving by and saw a dude with a sandwich board advertising half price drinks.  Oh boy.

Where's the modern gastro pub?  Updated food?  Push the physical renovations (which is needs) back and focus on the food, please.  I still like the place but if the menu doesn't change soon, not sure I'll keep coming back.

  2. Parking Lot in the back makes this a convenient choice. The lunch menu always has daily specials and there's a fair selection of choices. The salads are really big and and sandwiches are filling but not to heavy. I went with the Grilled Chicken on a roll this time, I've been twice now and will return.

  3. I wish this was my neighborhood watering hole! Sadly I live about 4.5 hours south but this Irish pub still has a special place in my heart for sure. One of the best things about this place is the craft beer selection on tap, in bottles, and in cans. For any IPA-guzzling beer snob there's a great selection for great prices to get you good and proper. The best thing? A few bottles and a good list of cans are on special starting at $3, which I was blown away by. 90 Minute IPA Dogfish Head bottles for $3?! Name one other bar where you could get that beer for that price,  I DARE YOU; BAMBI (shouts to Nicki Minaj). How 'bout Sculpin for $3? HUH WHAT WHERE?! Here at McLynn's you can get 90 Minute, Sculpin, and other great beers on the cheap. It'd be great to visit often and see what rotates on special and try some new brews.

The owner, Nick, has a great philosophy about pricing these craft beers so that people aren't afraid to drink their favorites and/or try new things. I love the selection of craft beers in cans for a great price too. The bartender was attentive and the regulars were friendly. Looking at the pictures of food, though, makes me want to come back to eat here. They will be doing renovations so I''m excited to see the changes coming soon.

  4. Great neighborhood bar and plenty of craft beer selections under new ownership.  I came with the family on a Saturday night and the band was popping! Although the bar was packed, the bartender was very attentive. We had a bunch of beers which I've never had before… and I'm a total craft beer snob.  I enjoyed a lot of local NJ brews.  The kitchen was closed when we got there but we got some bread pudding and Guinness cheesecake with a peanut butter crust.. they get it from the bakery across the street. The vibe was awesome!  I'll definitely try the food next time.

  5. Cute little Irish pub with a very small bar area.  Came by for dinner one night and enjoyed it.  Definitely a "regulars" spot.  "M" ordered a burger which was good, but he thought it had just a bit too much bun. A little pricey for what it was, but  we'd give it another go if in the area.

  6. Small Irish bar/restaurant.  Ambience and mix of people are interesting to say the least on a Sunday afternoon.  Food is decent and beers are cold.  Nothing wowed me or turned me off.  I'd go back again, but it's not a favorite.

  7. Your typical run of the mill Irish pub. Typical draft beers. Typical locals sitting at the bar for happy hour. Typical menu-burgers, sandwiches, and "American entrees" like crab cakes.

Overall, I've been here for dinner and what you see is what you get. Decent meal-nothing to brag about but at a decent price.  The burgers we got were average.  Overall, good for a decent meal but I wouldn't set out to go here.

  8. Was at McLynn's last night and for 5:30 it was pretty busy. I found out it had something to do with PGA week. How ever service was on point. My server Amanda recommended the fish tacos since Wednesday is seafood night. These fish tacos were amazing! Three served in a soft taco shell with home made mango salsa. On the side was rice and home made refried beans. I am Latino myself and was able to tell right away that the refried beans were home made. Rice was cooked perfectly.

I had eaten here once before and had the shrimp appetizer served in a bread bowl. This sportier is to die for! The shrimp is in a creamy garlic sauce served in this fresh bread bowl. I also had the Manhattan clam chowder and again- something I eat all the time was on point!

I was extremely surprised at how good the food was here. Just for that reason alone I will be coming back to this place on a regular basis. Service was on point, they do karaoke, and the food was to die for each time I came.
