  1. I absolutely Love Five Guys.  Until today, the experiences were great. Then I went to the rte 22 restaurant :(. So, I have been home alone all weekend studying for an upcoming exam. All day I have been thinking of Five Guys, so I order a little cheeseburger and small fries. When I see size of fries I ask,"why so small,"  she informed I ordered "little fries,"
(restaurant now offers three sizes of fries) which I didn't, but she asked if I wanted more.  I didn't want to wait so said I would pass.  After sitting down at my kitchen table and taking the first bite, I looked at the burger, a. It was missing cheese, which I ordered/paid and b. it was half a patty. Now, I know I could stand to lose a few pounds, but…….

So, I called store to inform of mess up and while in the middle of speaking to female manager she passed the phone to male cashier without telling me!!!!!!  When a male spoke I was shocked at her management of the situation.

There were zero guests when I arrived and two others there when I left 6pm on a Sunday. Looks like they have probably been cheap with others with size of burgers/no cheese/fries. This remark is confirmed reading previous Yelpers reviews of fries.

    Avoid this Five Guys!

  2. Burgers, milkshakes, and fries made when you order plus free roasted peanuts for munching while you wait. Their burgers are made in-house while their fries are freshly cut and fried in peanut oil, a healthier alternative to lard. Otherwise, nothing's really healthy here, but who cares!

I typically get a juicy Little Cheeseburger made with American cheese and a single 3.3 ounce beef patty (regular burgers have two patties) between a toasted sesame seed bun. I add "All the Way" toppings programmed in their register which include ketchup, mustard, grilled chopped onions and mushrooms on the bottom bun, then mayo, lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes (which kinda make it messy) on the top. Other free toppings to pile on include: relish, raw onion slices, sliced jalapeño peppers (YES!), green peppers, A1 Steak Sauce, barbecue sauce, and hot sauce.

With this, I order Large Fries to share which is usually enough for at least two people. Though they season the Cajun Fries with paprika, chili powder, and other spices, I never experienced the big deal about them and found them a bit powdery.

Then to drink/slurp, I get a thick-ass milkshake- the kind where the straw stands by itself. The Chocolate Bacon milkshake has little enjoyable, crunchy pieces of real bacon, some of which end up at the bottom.

If you order online beforehand with a PC or their phone app, you just have to wait for fries and milkshakes that are worth the wait.

  3. Had a quick lunch here while in the area and, as always, I had a really good meal.

Decor: It's a Five Guys so the decor is standard: it's bright, clean, and set up with nothing to hide as you can see your burger being made every step of the way.
Bathroom: Again, it's a standard Five Guys bathroom: clean, bright, inviting.

Staff: The staff was friendly and but not very speedy at preparing my order. Not sure what the issue was but there was definitely not a crowd…

Food/Drink: I only had a burger this time but it was prepared to perfection. Seriously, it was cooked perfectly and everything tasted so fresh! Instead of fries, which are amazing so you should get them, I had the free peanuts – I love the peanuts – and they were very fresh as well. Finally, I just had a water. I did try the new milk shakes too and I really enjoyed it! Nice job!

Value: For the price, you can't beat the solid burger & fries combo at Five Guys. Both taste wonderful and are pretty cheap as well.

While I can't have it in my weekly rotation of lunch spots, as I would get nothing done in the afternoons, it is a solid spot that I will continue to come back to on occasion.

  4. This Five Guys is conveniently located right on Route 22 and I believe it can be accessed from both Route 22 E and 22 W.

It isn't too different than any other Five Guys location. Tasty food and good quality.

A few things: most Five Guys locations I have been to have super friendly staff. At this one, the staff were not rude or anything, but they did not go out of their way to make you feel welcome as many Five Guys employees do. They offer "little fries." I'm not sure if this is something at only certain locations, or if all locations have this size now and it is just a new thing. In any case, it is a good addition to the menu as the "Regular" sized fries are huge.  The fries tasted super fresh but did lack salt. Lastly, my burger was kind of falling apart and the mayo on it had an odd consistency (almost as if the bread had been grilled with the mayo on it). The taste was still excellent, but it just wasn't built as well as those I have had at other FG location.

Definitely a nice option to have on Rt 22. Not the best Five Guys I've been to, but I'll take any Five Guys over most of their competition.

  5. This is by far the best Five Guys I've ever been to. It is clean. It is well managed. The service staff is always friendly and have a smile. The burgers are always consistent and made as ordered. The fries always overflowin'. The shakes are good. I've even been given some shake samples when I've been in there.  Out of all others in the area I bet you won't find a better Five Guys!

  6. As far as fast food burgers go I dig Five Guys.  I find it odd to review a chain but this location is clean and staff has always been friendly.

I usually giggle because the french fry portion is just insane.  I will always recommend sharing a small fry with one or two people because a "small" really means "all" of the fries.  And I'm not even mad about that.

Down side?  If you stay to eat you leave smelling a little fried. Other than that, it's a win.

  7. Like other Five Guys I've been to, the burgers here are delicious. I love that they have so many types of toppings.

However, this spot undercooked our fries and they weren't that great today.

Also, their soda machine had a lot of flavors out of stock. 🙁

Other than that, the service was pretty decent and the burgers at least were on point.
