Not. A. Fan.
My mom and brother are American restaurant diners so I chose to have dinner at Hurricane because none of us have been there before.
Our server was very sweet. That along with the beach vibe and the wings were the only things that were decent.
To start off, the sangria was horrible. The description said it had OJ in it but it was wine on ice. Bad wine on ice. No flavor at all. I squeezed the fruit in it and tried to make it into something, but I wasn't pleased.
I ordered some BBQ wings for an appetizer and the Beachside Chicken for my meal. The wings were good…..a little more sauce on them wouldn't hurt but I did not enjoy the Beachside Chicken. It was Grilled chicken breast topped with sauteed onions, peppers, bacon, melted cheeses, drizzled with Honey Lime sauce with a side of rice and beans and broccoli. Sounded good but there was barely any bacon and I wasn't feeling it.
No thanks Hurricane.
Citrus marinated Churrasco Steak with cilantro tomatoes and broccoli. Delicious, and low calorie. Nice service, good atmosphere. Wine choice fair.
Met up with friends here after an event and boy did we have a good time. We watched the Mets game of course. It was pretty low key being that there were only a few more tables occupied near the bar. We had already eaten prior but some wanted to order wings and nachos. I for one ordered the fried green beans and yes they were delicious. Pippin' hot and crispy and the horseradish sauce was awesome. The drinks were alright. You can either get a glass or the bucket. A bucket is 2.5 glasses. So yes you guessed it . . . I ordered the bucket. For $15 it is not a bad deal. I ordered the Voodoo juice cocktail. Not bad but then a lil sweet for my liking. Just wish it was a lil stronger. We all had a great time watching the Mets game. They won and we were ecstatic. The ambiance could have been more lively, but then again its Long Island. I'll check this place out again when I'm in the area.
Second time around! Just as good! I'm so impressed by the customer service here, it's remarkable! I don't live around the area and was craving for wings from Hurricane Grill & Wings, my fiancé didn't mind the drive so we travelled all the way out here for some banging wings. I called to order in advance so that my order would be ready to pick up when we arrived. When I arrived, the order wasn't ready, but that was okay. I told the lady at the front that I will be right back and she told me it would only be a couple more minutes. My fiancé parked right in front of the restaurant and I just sat inside talking to him. Little did I know, the waitress came out and delivered our order personally. The customer service here is extraordinary and I will continue to come back. As we drove off, I couldn't stop saying, "Wow, I can't believe she did that." Will I recommend this restaurant? No, I demand that it's mandatory to stop by here!
Out of all the Bar-Wing chain places in the area, this is probably my favorite.
Just a few items that make Hurricane Grill & Wings enjoyable:
When its nice outside, eat outside!
The interior bar area looks like a beach house, its a fun and inviting spot
TVs are playing sports
Wings! They have a good selection of sauces, 35+ to be exact
Beers! They have over 20 beers on tap to choose
The wings for lunch are kinda expensive, its almost a $1 a wing.
I like this spot for lunch and happy hour beers.
I'm a fan!
Burger was really good, the ambient is okay.
Definitely okay for a quick dinner.
Try the strawberry limo
I can only speak about the bar area since I came here after a nearby event to watch The Mets game. When I first arrive the waitress was a bit rude but then she was really nice so go figured. Since I came from an event I wasn't hungry but did order the nachos which were tasty and a good portion for $9.
The people I came with got some wings and they said they were good especially the cyclones (half ranch half buffalo sauce) I didn't get to try them but they seem to really enjoy them.
The drinks were good and I thought the prices were more than fair.
Ok. Met my rather low expectations. They offer a 575 low calorie section of the menu, which contained the Mahi tacos in the photo. They tasted well seasoned and came with pico and sour cream on the side. Not nearly as good as Houlihans fish tacos. Friendly staff seem to keep up with the busy place. I miss Tin Alley Grill that used to reside in this spot.
