First off, it should be noted that I do not usually frequent fast food joints. But, in a pinch, i will partake. Having 20 minutes to spare waiting for the next train to depart from the Long Beach station, i opted to visit Burger King instead of the Five Guys right next door. I needed something very quickly.
This Burger King was nearly empty and was very clean. There were 3 people in line ahead of me but this was no big deal. I expected to be in and out in less than 10 minutes. The customer at the register was counting change for her meal which took a while. Instead of expediting the following order, the employee waited patiently. Who could blame them? they had no where to go.
The next two people had a hard time deciding what they wanted to order. Its burger king! the menu is the same everywhere!
When it was finally my turn, with my money in hand and my order already picked in my mind, i went up to the cashier and he said "be right back", left and went to make change. When he returned he proceeded to empty rolls of quarters, nickels and dimes and couldnt be bothered to ask me what i wanted. i glanced at my watch. TEN minutes had passed since i walked into the EMPTY burger king.
I placed my order. He repeated it a few times. then I waited.
and waited.
I watched as 3 employees stood by the warm plate just talking and laughing- having a good ol time.
Still, no order.
5 minutes later, my order was ready. they packed it to go and ran the hell out of there with only 3 minutes left to catch my train.
The food was fresh. It was decent (even though i hate fast food) but for what I wanted, i probably would have waited the same amount of time at Five Guys.
Guys, get your shit together. Its fast food because its supposed to be fast.
CAUTION: Do not walk out of their parking lot, even to run to another store for a minute, they have a shakedown crew waiting to put a boot on your car and/or tow it. I guess they're mad because Five Guys came to town and stole away any quality clientele they may have had. DO YOU REALLY THINK BOOTING/TOWING PEOPLE'S CARS IS GOING TO HELP YOUR BUSINESS!? YOUR PARKING LOT IS EMPTY ANYWAY BECAUSE YOUR PRODUCT SUCKS. Just had to pay $60 to take a boot off my car because I had to run to a store and left it parked there for literally under 5 mins. And I was one of 3 cars in the same situation. Get The F*ck Outta Long Beach, WE DON'T WANT A BURGER KING HERE!! I used to get breakfast here at the drivethru when I was in a rush in the morning, NEVER AGAIN. Keep your greasy garbage food and your parking spots. Most of your clientele are skells anyway, they probably don't even drive, so who are you saving the spots for…IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BURGER IN LONG BEACH, GO TO FIVE GUYS, IT's RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM THIS DUMP.
