Stumbled upon this spot one night in a hungry stupor. Had I seen it in any other context, I doubt I'd have given it the time of day, but I'm so glad I did. This is a small business with very fresh, high quality food. It is not cheap, but the pricing is quite normal for the neighborhood. The chicken is excellently cooked, the vegetables are fresh, the service is really friendly, and the location is convenient for folks looking for healthy a, delicious eats in midtown. Looking forward to returning to try the rest of the menu.
Hungry and digging the fancy corn dog option I walked into siblings to see what's up.
The unit is small and will only fit 20 probably. They base the menu around three things, waffles, waffle dogs, and rotisserie chicken. They do have other options but not in potential meal form unless you want a quick soup (they have lentil you veggie nuts).
I got a large (by accident I ordered a small and did not notice why I was paying so much) rotisserie chicken salad, a chicken apple waffle dog, and Parmesan garlic shoestring fries. The waffle dog was great! I think it was paired with a honey mustard which I love. My next fav was the fries. Crisp but squishy on the inside and the flavor wasn't overpowering.
I'd rate the salad in last place, not because I don't like salad, but because the other things are much much more delicious. You get pieces of white meat rotisserie in the salad which I still detected as slightly on the dry side, even covered in some
Vinegary dressing. I also don't like tons of dressing on my salad so I wasn't as happy with it as I would be otherwise.
Overall I love the waffle dog. It's worth the visit. Need to try all the flavors.
Also the door is stinkin heavy!
Waffle dog sounds more interesting than it actually was. Not bad, once I stopped using the honey mustard. I chose the chicken dog and it came with honey mustard, but the sauce was overpowering. Without the sauce, it was good. The waffle dog was slight sweet (from the waffle, I assume) but savory as well. The owner was also great and very friendly.
Had the chicken here, pretty good pretty similar to the chcken yuo get from the peruvian places, fries were pretty good as well, the name is a little strange.
I passed by about 3 weeks ago and they were not busy and had not seen them opened before. Their menu consists of rotisserie chicken, soups and salads, potatoes, aome desserts and beverages. I got a small salad loaded with vegetables prepared with french dressing but too much of it. In the future i will ask for dressing on the side. I also got soup which was very good. I was told that it very busy at lunch-i was there off peak. The person taking my order did not speak English that well and i was patient but he called for language assistance from a colleague in the back. I would recommend and return
