This "bakery" is upsetting! You have assistants with long flowing hair not put back in a bun behind the counter with food not covered. Yes I'll have the Bread or cookies with potential lice or piece of hair on it. Or the multiple trays of pastries not refrigerated sitting out in the warm bakery becoming rancid. How does this place get an "A" rating ? I had intended to spend money here but when I saw the un hygienic atmosphere I decided to take my business elsewhere. It's just common sense to keep things covered. Put you hair in a bun and put dairy in a refrigerator. Smh!!
Not to happy about this place at all…
Came here for dinner… I know why the hell did I go to a bakery for dinner…the place is like a mini restaurants…full of baked goods in the front and bread as well and in the back dining area… The dining area is small …chairs are uncomfortable…went here on a Monday night and there was actually a good amount of people there… So I was impressed… I thought this might be a good eating area… So I sat down and started ordering
I got a grilled eggplant sandwich ..with a side of French fries….the waitress was slow… I asked for something and she just doesn't delivers it as I wanted… I waited about 45 minutes for this freaken sandwich … I mean the menu said for good tasting food takes time…but geez….I never knew it took like 45 minutes to make a freaken sandwich…after the long wait my sandwiches served with fries are finally here.. I was not impressed at all…the food was tasteless and my fries was brunt… It was actually one of the worst restaurants I ever been to in Staten Island beside Z one lounge… That place is always horrible to me… The reason I gave this place two stars is the cute decor and the nice evening setting for dinner… Other then that …would I come back…no!
I buy dessert here, more than I actually sit down to eat here.
The cakes and pastries are quite good. I feel like a lot of Italian are pretty much just blocks of sugar, but their cakes are really tasty.
Whenever I don't feel like baking, this is my go to dessert place
Ate lunch here with my college aged son. Nice mix of people, young and old, multiethnic. Many options on the menu for lunch including paleo and gluten free options. I had a blackened Cajun wrap with fries and my son had buffalo chicken sandwich. Both freshly made to order. Many delicious looking bakery items in the display. Prompt friendly service too! Great find on my visit to Staten Island.
One of my absolute favorite lunch spots on Staten Island.
The cafe itself has adorable decor, something you would see in a trendy spot in Brooklyn. Really cute places to grab a lunch date.
Although I always order the same thing, my personal favorite items on the menu are the Portobello Chicken Panini with an ice tea and a cannoli explosion for desert ! Always super fresh and yummy!
I'm very proud to have discovered this bakery at Richmondtown Uncorked, a lovely event on Staten Island that Dominick's participated in. In a borough full of bakeries, Dominick's really distinguishes itself. Everything they make – cakes, pastries, paninis, cookies are all delicious.
My favorite calorie splurge are for their cannolis. The cannoli cream is great and the shell is crisp. The broccoli rabe (plus anything ie chicken) panini is my favorite lunch when I'm in the area.
Recently, my aunt brought over a "Pretzel Cake" that tasted nothing like pretzels. It was like a giant, delicious cream puff. It was the most delicious, unique thing I've ever had from there. Loved it!!
They have indoor and outdoor seating – outside under an awning. It's a cute date spot, too.
so ive never actually been to dominicks BUT I have been the recipient of their saviordi cookies for years… grandma usually stocks up on pounds of cookies when she knows i'm coming to visit as they are one of my favorite treats. how they make their saviordi, i'll never know (or be able to appreciate) but it is by far one of the best that I have ever had. they are never dry and crumbly, and they somehow retain their freshness for days if left in the fridge. dipped in coffee or milk, or just enjoyed dry- it's hard to beat a dominick's saviordi
This is a great spot for a healthy breakfast or lunch or a decadent dessert.
The lunch menu is huge – filled with delicious, healthy dishes. Lots of salads and sandwiches, plus pastas, pizzas, soups and some entrees.
The chicken lo mein, which has spaghetti squash as its noodles, is excellent. I don't even like vegetables, and this is chock full of them – but it's great. Very filling but healthy.
The desserts are amazing – we got the chocolate cream pie for my Dad's birthday and it was fantastic – very chocolaty and creamy and the crust was rich and buttery. I also bought the oreo cake and can't wait to try it.
I had good service both times I was here – it was very busy but they were efficient and friendly.
They have tons of cookies, cannoli, cakes, pies, etc. Everything looks amazing. Go for a light lunch and take a dessert with you!
