No street signs indicate there's a coffee bar inside. The good news means the line is shorter than your average Starbucks.
I ordered the Caveman Blend and the Brick n Mortar. In my opinion, the way they prepare coffee here (blending it with butter and MCT oil to slow the absorbtion and increase your metabolism) doesn't change the flavor much, so it's more about whether you notice a difference in your alertness throughout the day.
And maybe it's psychosomatic but I think I do. I'm frequently bleary-eyed in the morning even after a double espresso, but this morning I feel great. I don't know if I feel $6 great (see my receipt), but great nonetheless. And to be fair, this is only one data point since it's my first visit here, but you be the judge.
Delicious coffee! As in- drinkable without adding any extra's.
The white gold tastes great and perfect for a morning brew. I'd suggest going for a caveman coffee and try switching out the regular brew with the white gold for a sweeter and lighter flavor (as recommended by the barista). The caveman is surprisingly creamy and delicious.
It is virtually tucked away inside brick without any hint that it exists from the sidewalk. Don't be shy about walking in summer the cafe is easily accessible from the street on the ground floor. One of the best cups of coffee I've had in a long while.
Caveman coffee like it should be done… As far as I can tell this is the only place that has it in the city and it's worth the trip. The unique way that it's served up (w/ grassfed butter and MCT oil) is worth the trip just to try it out.
This place is inside Brick Gym so keep your eyes open when walking down Lex so that you don't miss it!
