  1. Who eats bingsoo during the winter? I do! There is never a bad time for shaved ice in my book. I am obsessed and Cafe Sheeroo was the perfect fix for a bingsoo craving. We got their injeolmi red bean and I had never had that combo before but I loved it! The milk flavored ice with mochi inside. Definitely plenty for two to share. Yum! I'll be back to try the mango cheese next time!

  2. Love their waffles! They are made to order, so everything is served fresh right off the waffle maker. I have tried black sesame, croissant, and red bean flavors and they were all so good and different that I can't choose which one is the best. The ambiance is chic and almost European, I like the moulded walls painted tastfully in blue tones and a chandelier also adds a nice fancy touch. Just like other typical Korean-owned cafes, they serve good quality coffee which are on a pricey side (cappuccino is $4).

  3. If you happen to be in the area for Korean dinner or lunch, this would be a good layover spot to get a good Korean dessert.

My ultimate favorite that I always is the Mango and Cheese snowflakes (Bingsu). Yes it has cheese on it which is kinda weird, but trust me it works well once it slightly melted.

It's a nice small cafe where you can hang out and enjoy your dessert. Highly recommended!

  4. I value consistency, and for that, I'm taking a star off from what I would've given if I wasn't disappointed by their lack thereof. We ordered the injeolmi & milk bingsoo today. As you can see in my photo, mine doesn't look like everyone else's does it? Where's the mochi? That's a key point to an awesome bingsoo and I was disappointed that no apology was made for a half assed bingsoo- THAT took 20 mins?? You shaved some milk ice, put some injeolmi powder and a scoop of red bean ango, and you don't have the decency to tell me that there's going to be missing parts to it?

The shaved milk ice was delicious. Not too sweet and wasn't melting fast. It would've been more delicious and I would've given 4 or even 5 stars but for the half-assed presentation. Again, we waited 20 mins after ordering, and the workers were seriously lost. I get it- it was a full house. But seriously, if you can't handle the capacity, at least keep calm and let patrons feel like you're not losing your mind. The girl at the front taking orders was bringing togo orders to the wrong tables, asking who ordered how many, etc. To their credit, which isn't much, before I even completed the order, the girl did notify me that it would take 20-25 mins. I decided to wait – I just expect results for such a wait. So let's not make it just about the waiting period. It's about the quality in this context.

I'm sure it would taste incredible if I didn't receive subpar service for subpar presentation. Let's be consistent or at least tell the customer that they should come back and have the full experience when they're not lacking ingredients.

  5. I am not usually from this area but I am visiting family friends who are. We walked in for some bingsoo and ordered the injeolmi and red bean bingsoo and two plain froyos.

The froyos were okay- very yogurty but not too tangy. The bingsoo was bomb. They shave frozen milk and you get a huge mound of perfectly fluffy white snow. There was a generous helping of the sweet bean powder and the red bean paste. It was so good,  bringing out the best points of injeolmi and red beans. But the ice flakes were good to eat on their own.

The decor is quite nice and clean. The servers brought out the froyos but made us pick up the bingsoo, which was kinda confusing. But besides difficulty parking, there was no huge flaw in this place. I would totally visit again if I come back to this area.

  6. I've been here several times – sometimes to study/work, catch up with a friend, or simply to kill some time in between. Always a solid cafe to do all of the above!

The injeolmi bingsoo here is to die for. I'm also a huge fan of the injeolmi crackers too. So addicting.

I have yet to try the waffles and newer additions to the menu, but I've seen other tables ordering them and they looked amazing.

TLDR; Solid cafe for studying, eating, or killing time. Don't leave without trying the injeolmi bingsoo.

  7. Swung by Pal Park with a friend for the evening and stopped by here for the bingsoo. Upon entering, the place appeared upscale with the glass chandelier and mirrored walls but customers and music style made it feel very casual. Unfortunately, it's a tad small so I can only imagine how packed it'd be during the summer.

We ended up getting the Red Bean Bingsoo and it was amazing. It's been a couple years since I had bingsoo so having it again like this was incredible. As mentioned in multiple reviews, they used frozen milk and shaved it into very fine ice — a much better technique than just pouring condensed milk that just goes straight to the bottom. They powdered it with misugaru both on top and inside as well as added mochi in the bingsoo which was nice. Of course, the red bean was scooped on top as well. The one order was actually too much for my friend and I and we ended up sadly not being able to finish it. The bingsoo also came with two chilled stone bowls which was a nice touch.

The service was excellent. No complaints, employees were very kind and polite and brought out the tray. Our only task was to bring back the tray.

Overall, I loved it. I'll definitely be back to try the other things on their menu!

  8. Incredible Korean shaved ice! The patbingsoo is flavorful, creative, fluffy (shaved milk!), and the portions huge! If a single order seems pricey, that's because there is just so much in each order! I personally recommend 3-4 people per order of bingsoo (they'll even provide additional spoons and bowls for your group– splitting the bingsoo is expected!).

I really appreciate how the cafe focuses on distinctly authentic Korean flavors (injeolmi, red bean, mochi, etc.), not only in their bingsoo flavors, but also in the Korean pastries and desserts which they also sell!

The interior is clean, white, and gives a classily crisp feeling. There are outlets and wifi if you want a small cafe to work in, with great natural lighting! There aren't too many tables though, so take note of that if coming in with a large group.

Even as someone who doesn't like bingsoo too much (teeth are sensitive to the cold, and mildly lactose intolerant), the bingsoo here is by far the most authentic and delicious.
