This cafe is simply lovely! The girls who work here are very friendly, and it's cozy and comfortable. I had a latte which was delicious, and a small pumpkin pie, and my friend had a coffee and a small pumpkin pie. They have a few 2-person tables. They even gave me a free tote on Small Business Saturday 🙂 Glad I discovered this place. Great for catching up with a friend.
I am extremely picky with desserts. I have went to 6 different bakeries and to place an order for my sisters bridal shower and as soon as I walked in I knew this was the bakery. The cake decorator is amazing. She works with you and was able to do the exact thing I wanted on my cupcakes
I can't believe this quaint little bakery has been open for 15 months and I'm just now having lunch here. The cafe is small and very cozy. There are few small tables for two. The display cases are teeming with delicious looking pastries and cakes and they have a nice looking espresso machine.
Our lunch experience had a few bumps, but the food was so good that I would still recommend SweeTart to friends. Hubby ordered the "The Pesto" wrap ($7.95) but they served it on crusty baguette bread instead of the wrap. He had a toothache so he was not happy about this. I had ordered the BLT wrap, which did not have a description on the menu. I assumed it would be bacon, lettuce, and tomato–but was pleasantly surprised to find that there was also chopped grilled chicken and fresh mozzarella in there. It was delicious and such a good value at $4.95. I felt bad for my husband, so I gave him half of my wrap and ate half of his sandwich. His was delicious too–grilled chicken pieces with roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella, and pesto aioli.
Everything tasted fresh, so we decided to try the coffee. Hubs had a 16oz triple shot latte ($4) and I ordered a 16oz cafe au lait. The gentleman behind the counter did not know what a cafe au lait was, so the lady at the register offered to help him. She did not seem to know what cafe au lait was either because she made it with one shot of espresso, hot water, and a bit of steamed milk–in a 12oz cup. For the record, cafe au lait is regular brewed coffee topped with steamed milk. My drink was watery and weak and my husband's tasted like the espresso shots were pulling for too long. We didn't complain or correct any of the mistakes, but it did make us feel like they weren't listening to us when we ordered–and also need some barista training.
Like I said, the food was good, and the staff was nice enough, so we will try again and see what happens. I am very interested in trying the pastries next. The baklava looked mouthwateringly good.
Delicious pastries! So soft and fresh tasting. It makes for a no regrets treat because they just taste that good.
