Located immediately next to the renowned Gourmanoff food store sits a wonderfully quaint cafe which one might easily walk right by.
Conceptually well conceived, Cafe Inn offers Gourmanoff shoppers a coffee and dessert reprieve after shopping, and for the non-shopper, a passer by so to speak, whose desire it is to relax with a nice cup of coffee, or whatever other hot or cold beverage may please you accompanied by a sweet treat.
My $2.95 bagel & small coffee is pocket change well spent for the meal, decour, service and overall experience at Cafe Inn. Psychedelic coffeehouse music was a mere hint upon the ears, WiFi was fast and uninterrupted with signal streaming through a super high bandwidth mega router pullin about a gig.
Leather couch, true bistro style metal tables and chairs sat upon a unique barnyard country wood flooring, the appeal was tremendous. A half a head turn to the side allowes for hours of people watching that can't watch back.
Additionally hungry, I grabbed a premade sandwich clearly made, as per its marking, from Gourmanoff that had the same gas station encasing, causing me no alarm. The turkey, mozzarella, tomato and basil sandwich cost a mere $6.50, fresh and delicious.
Quickly getting back to my bagel, the cream cheese appeared whipped as it was light on the palate differing from the heavy thicker type typically shmeared upon the rolled dough of our affections.
Although the coffee condiments were pleantiful, stocking some packs of mayo and mustard are in desperate need and hopefully will be in play soon.
Great place in little Russia, Coney Island, to make a stop and feel like in Eastern Europe. Love this place and even more so their smoked salmon sandwich.
Super cute place to while away the afternoon and rest your feet. Try the apricot mousse cake and the red velvet cream cake–both delicious.
