So happy that a Red Mango has popped up in West Caldwell! I'm a big fan of this chain. It offers a healthier alternative to the self-serve soft-serve trend popping up all over the place. (And it's in the shopping center by Panera, CVS, & Starbucks.)
Red Mango has fewer available flavors than 16 Handles & Cups, but their offerings are not only delicious, but also chock-full of calcium, protein, & live active cultures — everything you would ever want for a guiltless treat! AND, there are plenty of fresh fruit & candy toppings!
This store is very clean, with a friendly, helpful staff. The cashier patiently explained the Red Mango rewards club system to me & made sure I understood how my discounts worked. No loud music or garish decorations. It's a happy, calm place to enjoy a delicious treat!
The follow the recipes in their tropes book to the "T" and because of that, everytime i go it tastes delicious. They are the best red mango in the area. I have been to other locations and there is no consistency in their product. When I come to this Red mango, my shakes are made the exact same way each time I go. The workers are very friendly and know you by name by your second or third visit. I will be a regular real soon!
Highly recommend the spoon topping for an additional 40 cents! :
Came in and the owner was the only one working. Asked if I could use the bathroom and I was told that they didn't have one. Weird, because there was a working one right in front of me. Any other time I have come in here and the owner wasn't working the bathroom was allowed to be used by patrons (I always ask first to be kind). Hmmm…
Fast forward to me paying for my yogurt. My yogurt came to $5.72. Before I paid, I was asked if I wanted a spoon and when I replied yes, the spoon was placed on top of the yogurt and I was charged $6.12. I looked down at the receipt to see the name of the person that served me, Urvish, and was amazed that this was the owner doing this. I have been to many other Red Mango locations and I have never paid 40 cents for a cheap plastic spoon.
Little actions like these are exactly why I will never return to this location. Too many other locations in a 5 mile radius that don't pull funny stuff like this.
