“I'm Jamaican and this was some of the best crunchy and well seasoned jerk chicken I've ever had.”
“I requested jerk chicken which I have heard about from another person, along with that I had rice and beans, steam cabbage, and what I believe I heard to be called plankton or planteen.”

I know very little about the area. A friend decided on this spot and I'd like to thank her for treating and giving me the opportunity to add to my handful of eating Caribbean food yearly. I ordered the jerk chicken, mac & cheese and a bottle of their bottled D&G Peanut drink.
The D&G milkshake like drinks come in varieties like Cucumber Deluxe, Pineapple, Fruit Punch, etc… The peanut one appeared to have mainly peanut and other natural ingredients. I was looking for the type of sugar used to sweeten the drink and I fount it to be condensed milk. It's thick and clumpy, thicker than an average milkshake. It's main taste is of peanut and that's it. There's not much to it's component, except if you like peanut flavor in the form of a clumpy milkshake like drink. It was unique to me and I fount it sort of filling.
The choice of food is ordered directly from the bins or off the menu. I thought the jerk chicken was very good but not to be raved about. I liked it, though. The meat was on the soft but still meaty side, yet it was flavorful. Usually chicken has a tasty and flavorful outside and a tasteless inside but the jerked chicken had good flavor in and out. It came in two drum sticks and a thigh. I was told it was spicy, nah, only a tad.
The mac & cheese had little taste. Little milky flavor and little cheesy flavor. It was average. But I got two huge clumps of them and the top was cooked to a crust. That's pretty much it.
With a few other Caribbean spots around, I would give the other spots a try before giving a better rating. But for now, it stays rated as average but good food. Yes, in comparison to others I have tried and friends home Jamaican cooking.
