“I usually call before I go in and pick up so I can get my fix quicker 🙂 The carrot cake is also amazing.”

“My fiancé had curry chicken, but we are not big fans of curry chicken with white meat bc the sauce and seasoning doesn't penetrate the chicken well.”

  1. I don't know what was wrong with them when I wrote my first review, but my last meal here was amazing! I had the Jerk Chicken with rice and beans and cabbage. The sauce was fantastic! Flavorful and spicy! It was easily a FIVE STAR meal, but I can't give them a full five stars because, as you can see, they're not consistent.

  2. I live in the area and wanted to try a new Jamaician spot.  I should have known it wasn't going to be good once I entered. The place didn't smell like a restaurant. There was a old stale smell And it didn't smell like any food was cooking. My food was not fresh, the jerk chicken had no jerk and they didn't put plantain's in my container. The food actually left an after taste in my mouth. I gave some to my 1 year old son, I hope it doesn't hurt either of our stomachs 🙁 No, I would NEVER go back.

  3. I love me some Caribbean food and often times I don't feel like driving to NYC, so I come here from time to time. I love the Oxtails and beef patties here. A plate can set you back $10-$15 greenbacks.

The other day we were running around and had a craving for some Oxtails, rice and plantain!

She ordered the curry goat, rice and peas and cabbage. I ordered the Oxtails, rice and peas and plantains. For drinks we both got cream soda.

All in all the food was good. The rice was too spicy and cabbage was ok. The curry goat was good and the Oxtails were spot on good!!! The meats were flavored well, but we found everything else to be ok.

Returning is all about those Caribbean cravings. They have plenty of tables, but the food prep can be a wait so I would suggest calling ahead. Give them a try, my taste buds can be a lil biased sometimes.
