  1. Their chicken is definitely better than the fried chicken next door at hmart, but I've definitely had better! Used to having great friend chicken up in Bergen county or in nyc, so definitely a bit spoiled with some high expectations.

The chicken is crispy and fresh with and even amount of sauce, which is nice! Also comes with the radish on the side, which is a must, with Korean fried chicken. Only down fall I'd say is the long wait for your food and it gets packed during peak hours, which only make the wait for your food even longer… And if you're hangry, it's not the best place to go! I'd suggest calling and ordering ahead of time, but even then, because it gets so busy, there might not be seating! (Also parking is a disaster there)

Though overall, definitely one of the better places to get Korean fried chicken around this area! The food is up to par and definitely hits the spot if you're craving fried chicken!

  2. When it comes to chicken wing and particularly Korean fried chicken, i'm very picky and have a discriminating taste.

There's two places that you can get from this particular shopping plaza, Kono and Boom-Boom. I love this place because it is a freestanding restaurant and not a part of H-mart so you can dine without having cold air blowing in your face.

There will be times where this place can get very quite and borderline depressing. I really wish that they serve at least beer with their wings. It would be a great destination.

Their wings are pretty good, sauces are on point and consistent.

  3. Yummy korean fried chicken. Crispy skin, spicy sauce (pretty mild though), and sweet and sour radish which I looooooove. Ordering was a little confusing and it was a little odd that there are no combos for order at dinner time – the only option is to order a bucket of chicken for yourself.

Most of the sides (fries, mozzarella sticks, onion rings) are frozen costco stuff (you can see them in the freezer in the customer seating area).

  4. Great place to eat if you are craving fried chicken. Much better twist to it than your normal American  fried chicken. The sauce is amazing and leaves you wanting more. We also had the fries which some may like but I found them to be over fried. The soft serve green tea hit the spot on this hot and humid day. I could definitely have more right now. The ambience was casual and quiet. Place was clean and staff were super nice.

  5. First off, I love Bonchon so finding out about this place was awesome. I initially had my doubts on the chicken but after having tried it, I found it to be better(and much more consistent) than the actual Bonchon place in Jersey City. We ordered a small box of wings for take out and it came with the white radish side dish. 2 hours later, we finally ate it and it was still crispy! It was crispy and the flavors were all over the chicken pieces. Since it's located in a shopping plaza, you will find parking, Korean grocery store, dessert place, and a few other places within walking distance. When you finish eating, you can swing next door for dessert. Boom boom chicken will continue to be my go to for my fix.

  6. After coming here more often, I've come to accept the wait times for some delicious fried chicken. The lunch box is a great deal and the employees are incredibly nice.

  7. Order the large combo #1 which has both drumsticks and wings. Got the mild flavored. The chicken was rather okay. I just thought it lacked something. Just needed more flavor and taste. It wasn't "Boom Boom." It was just chicken.

I rather have the Korean fried chicken at H Mart next door. The KFC is better there.

  8. Boom boom! The chicken here is great. Service is friendly but a bit on the slow side. Waited about 20 min for our food and we were the only customers. At least we know it's fresh! The flavor and the crispness of the chicken A+ spicy and delicious!
