This is the quintessential old school Brooklyn Chinese albeit it isn't here that long. I love this place- $5.50 lunch special- check. The noodles here and the toxic orange duck sauce are outstanding . The old folks from the 'hood love this joint at lunch and with good reason. I went with an old friend of my mom's. The wonton soup has fresh wontons and you can taste the ginger mixed with pork. The mains are a tad less exciting, but still a good value and quite fresh. Don't forget to stop at Cuccios for some onion rolls (Franny's fave) on the way back to the F train. Ave X baby!
Been a loyal Hunan customer since I moved here 13 years ago. Quality chinese take out on the cheap!
It's OK for takeout. Good cold noodles/sesame. decent dumplings, below average chix/garlic sauce.
