Cheap American Chinese take out restaurant. Nothing spectacular, same old low quality greasy stuff. "Dark sauce or white sauce" is how we say it in chinese. Everything taste the same.
Although I was initially not enjoying the first two dishes I ordered as much as a I had hoped to, the remaining orders have turned the tide on my first impression. Chefs & short order can have two consecutive off days in a row.
The Beef Chow Fun is definately a personal favorite, add in a dollar of extra beef and your flat noodles will be smothered in the thin delectable strips.
As a general rule I try to avoid shrimp in Chinese food restaurants but the Shrimp in Garlic Sauce is stellar. All soups are excellent, the service is timely and friendly and clean as a whistle inside.
As only two Chinese food restaurants remain on Metropolitan Ave in the Forest Hills area, this little corner spot is my personal preference.
