I've been here more times than I can count since it's opened years ago. It's always been fairly reliable, I know what I am getting; it was the consistency I liked about this place. Opened late and serves decent Chinese Food. I also ordered from this place via Flushing Food several times. The last time I did was a BIG MISTAKE. My Sister-in-Law and I had the Chicken with Celery Pan Fried Noodles and a few dishes of Dim Sum. Their turnover for dim sum is not high enough for it to be fresh. Not sure which dish it was but we both got food poisoning, BADDDD. I was hovering over the toilet and puking every 20 minutes. I tried to drink some homemade soup and couldn't even keep that down. It took three days to get over. What's more upsetting is that I'm pregnant and had food poisoning, which makes me HELLA pissed at this place. There's way too many places in Flushing to try to come back and tempt fate again. Stay far far away from here.
This is my go to place when I have friends that like asian food but can't decide on a specific kind they want. They have dimsum, a variety of drinks including bubble teas and fresh fruit juices, really good lunch options, and a ton of appetizers! Decent priced, cash only!
Been coming here for years. There aren't many Hong Kong/Cantonese style restaurants in Flushing other than this place. This place doesn't wow you with flavor and ambiance, but the food is pretty spot on and will satisfy any hungry belly.
There are many dishes to choose from, including dim sum that's available the entire day, which is a huge plus for me because there are times where I crave dim sum for dinner but im unable to get it due to the time of day.
Some of the dishes that I recommend:
– Beef Chow fun
– Seafood fried rice
– Seafood Pan fried noodles
– Wonton Noodle soup
– Roast pork and a sunnyside egg over rice.
The name of their beverages here are absolutely hilarious, The Dark Angel, Sunrise Delight, The love…me…tender…I ain't playin, I can barely keep a straight face whenever I order these drinks.
This place is opened late so give it a try if you don't know where you want to eat.
Dim sum is the bomb! It's so tasty! Their noodle soups are alao great! I would've give them 4-stars for their dimsums and noodle soups. But then I tried their fried rices and some wide noodle panfried that I think it's bland. Not a fan of their fried rice. Also tried their bubble teas, which I think is missing that little "kick" to it.
But yes dimsum and noodle soups are on point!
I've always come to this place out of convenience rather than preference.
It's one of those "let's get anything, then head towards Sunway" type of eats.
It actually has been a while since I came here sober and damn the service has seemed to diminished immensely. The waitress looked bored out of her mind and responds with just nods, we ask to take our order and she just stands there nodding..
Then when she had to speak to double check our order, she spoke to us in chinese… I guess assuming any asian to stepfoot here is chinese is understandable, however even after several interactions with her (all in english) she continued to speak in chinese (it was actually kind of interesting).
Poor sense of customer service, but whatever I dont expect quality in places of this status.
I am always in it with the chicken fried rice with pineapple.
I wanted to also try the noodle soups since it seems to be one of the cheaper entrees here as well.
This particular time we also had the sesame chicken.
CFR with Pineapple (10$) – Always the same, so no disappointment and nothing new.
Beef Noodle Soup (6$) – It's a good tummy warmer on a cold day and cleanses your pallets as you eat the other dishes.
Sesame Chicken (Whooping $12) – Omg epic fail ordering this overpriced bokbok. I can almost guarentee the chinese takeouts at your local neighborhood tastes better than this.
Not only that, but it doesnt even get served with rice?! What?!
Total came out to 35-36$ after tip and tax.
I'd still always comeback here though, because I've never been upset not did my food come out like shit. So i'd recommend (probably best if your a bit tipsy, so you can miss or pass these annoying jitbits)
We came here since I was craving for dim sum on a Saturday night. Ordered a bunch of stuffs and I can day only one item tasted decent
From the dim sum menu, me and hubby ordered the sticky rice in lotus leaf, chicken feet, steam beef ribs, and fried chive dumpings. The sticky rice in lotus leaf didn't have much flavor and had no filling and just way too much rice. And no aroma from the Lotus leaf what so ever on the rice. Chicken feet was just OK. The steak beef ribs was hard to chew and was made with cheap beef. The fried chive dumplings were way too greasy and doughy
We also ordered the curry beef and that was pretty flavorful and decent. And also tried the rice noddle with xo sauce and that was bland and bad.
Overall, not a good place. Service was horrible too
I've come here during the times when I've wanted something classic and budget-friendly to eat. I've liked their spam and egg and twin raisin (shredded egg and raisin) fried rice dishes. The latter is pretty large– enough for two or three folks, so I took half of that home. Their Steamed Malaysian cakes are satisfying and sweet– they come in a trio in the round wooden cases that steamed soup dumplings are also served in. They're nothing fancy, since the cakes are spongy sweet bread– but they don't disappoint either.
The atmosphere is casual and the noise level is usually quiet. They also have engaging soccer or NBA basketball games playing on their TV, which I appreciate. Be aware that the staff members are friendly, but I could tell that some of them have limited English speaking proficiency, so showing patience will matter in a dining experience here.
Definitely my place to go when I have no idea what to eat at night and am in the area. They open till super late which is super awesome. The food is not expensive and it is good. Nonetheless, they have dim sum 24/7! So if you're craving for some dim sum in the middle of the night, this is definitely the place to be. I always get the roast park noodle soup with board noodles here because it's just so good. Haha. The soup is not super salty, but flavorful. I'm sure there are better noodle soup elsewhere, but when it's 2AM and you have the craving; nothing beats this 😀
