My grandparents told me about their Guilin (Chicharron) Rice Noodle that only costs $5.”
“I would recommend calling and placing your order through the phone and coming here 15 mins later to pick up your food.”

The only place that was open around the area at 10pm so I came for a late night drunchie. I shared an order of giulin rice noodles and 3 skewers: lamb, beef, bacon and enoki. The skewers were kind of dry… I wouldn't get them if I were you, they didn't taste very fresh either and definitely overpriced compared to what you pay at the carts. The giulin rice noodles were really good! Fair portions and very flavorful. I like the broth that it came with, it was refreshing. I would've given it 4 stars but the skewers brought it down.
They offer a check in offer for free potato skewers but they no longer honor that, just a heads up for anyone who wants to use it.
No need to tip because everything is self served.
The guilin noodle taste amazing again, maybe because they increase the price rather than decrease the quality of the food. It went from $5 to $6.50 now. Even with the price increase, I will definitely come back for this. 🙂
I'm seriously hooked on the rice noodles here! I have tried rice noodles with seafood both fried and in soup, and they are good. Like other reviews mentioned, the rice noodle here is thicker, maybe a little hard if you are not a chopsticks native, but it's more chewy and tasty with thicker noodles! I think the fried noodles are better than the soup noodles, because my soup was a little bland so I added a lot of vinegar. I'm going to try their Guilin Specialties next time.
This is an okay place to grab a quick lunch. Located next to the Fei Long Supermarket. A small noodle place with limited seating. A good selection of noodle dishes on the menu.
We had the crispy pig intestines. Which I thought were okay. Could have been a little better. Needed to be a little more crispy.
We had the beef stew noodle soup and the conch noodle soup. Both had a lot of noodles. The beef stew was flavorful and had a lot of beef. The conch was a little disappointing because there was hardly any conch in the noodles. Otherwise it's just sweet and sour.
Cheap and quick place to go to.
Get the Guilin style rice noodles. So good, so cheap, and the crispy pork adds so much more texture to it. Sadly, they don't give you hot sauce to go unless you ask for it. Tons of other meats too, and reasonably healthy (compared to the other oily Chinese food you can get in the area).
I had a lot of high hopes for this noodle shop, because I LOVED Gui Lin (a far away place in China) style noodles when I was there for visits.
I had the Hot Spicy Rice Noodle Soup, and it was a little disappointing. The soup is a little too sour and the noodles were not rice noodles (more like the clear mung bean noodles). My friend had the Beef Stew Rice Noodles, and he liked it. So a 3 star? I will give it another try. I will lower my expectation this time….
Not impressed at all. This was the alternative that my cousin suggested to Flavors of Yunnan on 52nd street. This is a very Fujian/Canton spin on Yunnan cuisine. Not authentic at all
We ordered the special #1 and beef stew noodles. I also got a plum juice for 1.50 that I downed in 5 minutes because I was so thirsty. We didn't have to wait too long for the noodles. The dish itself is "dry" with just house seasoning but it comes with a side of soup.
The seasoning tasted like nothing but soy sauce. No flavor. Nothing. It was also super salty I had to pour all the soup in to dilute the taste. The toppings were good but they were just pork and brisket slices. Weren't very Yunnan at all. It felt more like Cantonese toppings. I do give them credit for the noodles though. They were al dente! What saved the dish was the house hot sauce/hot oil. I put two teaspoons of hot sauce and it instantly elevated the dish. But overall a disappointment. Will go back to my fave Yunnan restaurant further down sunset park.
Love their Gui Lin noodles and fried intestine dish. Would like to frequent more often. Place is clean and there are plenty of seats. Hooray for a decent noodle shop in the area! If you're ordering the noodles for takeout they'd have the soup in a different container. Very considerate! Very affordable, around $5 a bowl of noodles; can't beat that economy price!
