  1. If a diner and a deli had a baby, it would be this place.  Old fashioned booths line the walls.  Service is friendly and fast.  But unlike a diner, you're only going to get delicious Jewish staples here.  And if you've got a problem with that – don't come here!

The BF and I enjoyed kreplach soup, a grilled hot dog that would put Nathan's to shame, a pastrami/corned beef sandwich combo, and more.  Good selection of Dr. Brown's sodas.  It is a family friendly place.  Many tables had at least three generations at a time, noshing away together.

  2. Such an amazing place!! The pastrami on rye was definitely worth it – the staff was friendly and the service was fast! I would definitely come back for another amazing sandwich! The pickles and coleslaw were great, too!

  3. Great pastrami sandwiches and soups. I've lived in the area for 2 years now and they are very consistent with good soups, sandwiches, and hot dogs. Definitely good for a quick tastey bite. The cooks serving for take out are overall friendly. Sometimes the cashier is friendly other times just cordial. This deli is kosher but many people visit daily. I only eat kosher foods when I buy from here and I like it. This place is popular for their clean food. If you are in the area this is a nice place to grab something and go.

  4. Wow – Liebman's corned beef is seriously comparable to Katz's, and less expensive.  The matzoh ball soup is *almost* better than my grandmom's – like, crazy good, with lots of dill.  Puts the Bronx in a whole new light.

  5. I love when winding up at random places on a Sunday evening. So for a girl living on the UES in Manhattan, a Kosher Jewish deli in Riverdale is about as random as it gets. My boyfriend actually lives 5 minutes away, and I'm so glad we discovered it because I'll have to go back to give it another chance. I've been to a ton of Jewish delis and I don't know what I was thinking ordering falafel. I was just in the mood for it! They did a pretty good job though and the chicken soup was excellent. Next time though, it will be matzoh ball soup and a Reuben.

  6. Great experience with the family at Leibman's. It was nice to have authentic kosher deli with the family.

I got the number 7, pastrami and corned beef on rye with Cole slaw and Russian dressing which was superb. The pastrami was one of the best I have ever had.
My wife had the brisket which was also very good. The kids enjoyed the matzo ball soup and French fries.

I will definitely be back when I go back to the Bronx. Two thumbs up!

  7. Great pastrami sandwich , not too fatty with some other places. Pickles/  coleslaw are great too. Potato pancake is great too.

  8. excellent place to get a pastrami sandwich and chicken noodle soup!

We had ordered a combination sandwich which had pastrami and tongue. The tongue is excellent and very thinly sliced!

It was a huge sandwich, so be prepared to be full!

The soup was also very tasty! We will need to try other items on the menu!
