I throughly enjoyed my time at this cafe. The feeling of a clean, cute place that gives off a fancy vibe is exactly what I picture for a cafe and this place lives up to it. I came with a friend and we ordered so many desserts from yuzu tart to chocolate. The flavors were all there and quite delicious, not to sweet or overbearing. The staff was friendly and very helpful when we were not sure what to order they gave us some great recommendations. The brunch meal was tasty, the eggs were pouched perfectly and the salad was refeshing. The price in my opinion was reasonable, I feel like most of my meals in the city are now within the same price arrange of 8 to 15 dollars. I feel that if I am going to spend that money on food it better taste damn good and make me want to go back and get more. I feel that the quality of service and food has delivered that for me. Please go check it out for yourself!
The first time I wanted to enter Maison Keyser was when I passed their show window with all the gorgeous dessert which looked almost too pretty to eat!! Another reason I was waiting to come here was the location.. Bryant park makes for a gorgeous setting right opposite this bakery and soon enough I landed here on a rainy gloomy say looking desperately for a pick-me-up. I been here twice and both the times I got the croissant for which I have given this place a 5. Their almond chocolate croissant looks like a croissant which had fallen splat on the floor with all the buttery flaky goodness oozing out the sides. I got that with a large non fat cappuccino – one of the best coffees I have tasted (I usually like the dark roast). Fabulous French interiors and impeccably dressed staff with warm smiles to brighten up your day! I love this place. Will be back to try the pretty desserts soon.
Came here with my boss for breakfast – cutest place for a morning catch up with coworkers and/or friends. I ordered the baguette which I don't recommend- literally just a hard piece of bread that you spread butter and jam on, using the condiments on the table. Other than that, everything else was really good including the service.
Good quality food. A bit pricey. No gluten free options.
I met a friend here after work and came in from the entrance closer to 5th ave. note to self – there are two entrances. One is a cafe and the other is to a sit down restaurant. I had no idea, when I saw the cafe I thought that was it… Staff took me around to where I needed to be.
I ordered a lemonade and mushroom and egg thing. It was $13 for the egg dish and was tiny, but good.
It must have been an unlucky day because they were out of eggs and butter the evening I visited. I got the last egg! They said something about a shipment not coming and having a busy lunchtime.
Overall, service was pretty good, portions were very small but tasted good. The place has a Parisian feel to it which is nice. I wish it was gluten free friendly.
If you're craving something sweet then get the pli au and if you're craving something semi-sweet then get the almond croissant.
They have a great selection of desserts, including some flourless (gluten-free) options too. We tried the chocolate cake-like thing and chocolate mousse. Both were good!
Very slow and inattentive service. Dessert (cafe gourmet) was a bit stale and sticking to the cardboard plate. Croque Madame was ok but kind of greasy.
Lovely piece of Paris-like bakery near NYPL! The food was tasty, I had the eggs & smoked salmon with capers, which was delicious! Very generous portion! I also tried the pan a chocolate or chocolate croissant for Americans, which was flaky buttery and divine!! I also had their vanilla tea which was incredibly fragrant & slightly sweet. It is a great location by the New York Public Library and reasonable prices. I also thought the service was good.
