  1. I usually order the beef taco with all the fix-ins including the salsa verde.    Their meat is very flavorful and well seasoned.  I know for sure that they have chicken, beef and lengua (which translates to tongue)  I guess next time I'll try the lengua.   I don't think I've ever eaten anything with tongue, I'm not too sure…..???

Tacos are $2.50 each.   They have other items as well.   Also, one day I saw the lady making a torta.   I tried ordering one for my sister the other day but they didn't have.   I asked the guy for a torta, he said taco.  I was like no, torta, and he said taco again, and something about no torta.   If I was fluent in spanish, I would have asked him why or how would I get that…???

Their schedule varies.  I think they're out maybe 6 days out of the week.   Their time varies as well but they usually come out at night, smart move when most of the restaurants are closed and people are hungry.

  2. Not bad little spot located on the corner of 60th street and 4th avenue. Never tried anything except the empanadas. With so much brick and mortar mexican food spots in the neighborhood really just ok.

One thing about this food cart it shows up late and leaves early in the a.m. and is not subject to health department inspection like other food establishments, so i really dont trust em.

The empanadas are ok a little greasy but just alright, my usual 24 hour spot doesnt make empanadas.

  3. Service with a smile. I believe the guy who owns this cart is a former medical assistant who worked at Lutheran. He manages the production of some fabulously authentic chicken and steak tacos. He also makes something that's fried in a little pocket with pork (forgot the name) and rolls of deep fried queso fresco covered in cilantro lettuces and the best green guacamole infused sauce. The red sauce is also good and spicy if you're jonesing for that.

My friend had been living in the area for months and here I rolled in with my yelp help and found this cart and now she's obsessed. Really I've been to mexico and this is pretty close to goodness. Plus its cheap at $2 a taco and 6 for $5 queso fresco. They also have little fried pita looking filled with cheese or chicken that's a kiddo fan favorite.

IOh and they're open from 4:30 to 6am!
