The Firehouse Family Restaurant
“The 1/2 sausage thin crust pizza was very good (although I agree with some Yelpers that the crust could be a bit crisper) and our entrees were very good.”

So I've saved my 100th review for a local spot that's been around for a while. Had an excellent experience at the Firehouse tonight. My wife, my boy and I were out and about on Sunday afternoon and we were indecisive as to where to squeeze in dinner after a full busy day. Glad we settled on this location. The buffalo wings were nicely doused in buffalo sauce while still retaining a bit of a crisp. The 1/2 sausage thin crust pizza was very good (although I agree with some Yelpers that the crust could be a bit crisper) and our entrees were very good. I had the sliced steak – a nice portion of sliced steak on buttered toast points topped with garlic butter, fries with skin-on and a couple of beer-battered onion rings. Very good! My wife's "Godfather" sandwich – roast beef and gravy on garlic bread with melted mozzarella was good but the gravy was a bit salty. Still good though. Service was on point and she was very pleasant. Forgot to get her name.
With a place like the Firehouse having been around for so long, it can be easy to overlook it. Hope this and some other positive reviews will entice you to give them a try.
This was my first visit to Firehouse. Met one of the owners and he was very nice. As the name suggests this is an old firehouse converted into a restaurant. Restaurant was well kept and clean. Servers were very friendly and attentive to our group of 4.
Food was good quality and fresh American fare. Pizza was very good and crispy.
Prices were very reasonable.
I would definitely come back and try some other menu items.
Ambiance/Decor/Atmosphere: An old firehouse that has firehouse decorations inside with a pub feel. Not a bad looking interior; nice tribute to firemen from all over. Not really eye catching though; you seen one bar you seen them all. Parking is on the street or in the lot across from it.
Noise/sound level: Bar quality sounds and noise; by the bar will be louder than anywhere else because upstairs is the banquet hall. It really shouldn't distract or ruin your visit though.
Menu: Geared towards Italian fare with burgers, steaks, and sandwiches. Not overly big, but detailed enough to interest an array of patrons.
Service: Very nice, friendly, warm, and relatively happy to be of service.
Food: For the most part the food is good; soda tasted like antiseptic spray so I didn't drink it, and the bread was kind of state. I ordered the Godfather which is sliced steak on garlic bread with mozzarella cheese. The sandwich was pretty good and the fries were also tasty. Adding some red hot pepper also took it up a notch too, so job well done.
Bar: Full
Price: Not overly expensive so you can enjoy a few drinks and dessert with your meal and the check won't break the bank.
Overall: Decent, but not a place I'd routinely return too. Even though the food was good enough some items are frozen, canned, or processed and can be easily replicated at home.
I have been to the firehouse a few times now and it's always a great time! The location is really cool considering it's actually in an old firehouse. This restaurant is family owned so the night crowd mainly consists of locals of all ages. During the day it's more of people eating, but at night it definitely turns into more of a bar scene! Downstairs consists of a bar and restaurant, and the upstairs is used as more of a banquet hall. A few items to note:
-Food is always great!! I really love the pizza's here (can't go wrong with any of the flavors/toppings)
-Service is quick
-Drinks are strong 🙂 🙂
-Prices are reasonable
-Fun music
This place is great in that it offer some neighborhood variety with comedy shows and karaoke nights. I've been to two of their comedy shows and laughed my A$$ off… It's definitely a good place to go if you're looking for something different on a Friday night and want to keep it local. Plus after the shows you can go downstairs and finish your night with some more drinks!
