  1. As a novice to Hoboken, I would say that this is a good meeting spot before wandering to other more eclectic venues.  If you need to please a group of mixed tastes people this is a good middle ground.  Their bar food is good (I had the garlic parm wings) and the atmosphere is par for the course for a sports bar.  I like the way that the bar is the center and is a horsehoe shape which is good for socializing and mingling without being isolated to a booth.  Service was great, my glass was never empty and the bartenders would constantly ask if I needed anything.

This place is centrally located and it looked like people walking in would bump into people they already know.

  2. Came on Sunday after huge snow storm. Marina was our bartender. She promptly came over and greeted us even though the bar was PACKED. She checked up on is every 10 mins or so to get us more drinks and make sure we were okay. She was so attentive, it really make the experience enjoyable. Not to mention she was BEAUTIFUL! Will def come back

  3. Sunday Football review…

Had a pretty solid time at 1 Republik while watching the Jets absolutely **** the bed on Sunday. Though they typically don't take reservations, day of we were able to confirm day of that we were coming in with a group of 10 and they saved a table for us. Kudos for that. The 10 of us standing would've been awful.

Our table rocked various apps without standouts or complaints and I had my way with several varieties of wings (there are a dozen varieties of sauce to choose from). Love that the 'outrageous' flavor actually had some heat to it. BBQ mustard was also good. Take a look at the drink specials menu and plan accordingly… $2 mimosas until 1pm or 6pm on non-football Sundays. Could make for a nice rowdy brunch. The food menu is also fairly extensive, especially for the burger fan in you (better than being a Jets fan). Overall, we had a successful Sunday outing and I would def come back next season for some wings and a whole lot of shame (from the Jets).

Bonus: Service was good and the bathroom clean for a crowded football Sunday. Well done!

  4. I come here often for Sunday funday around the late afternoon and I somehow stroll out shy of 1am every time. The day just gets lost when you're inside.
The menu is pretty extensive. In terms of food,  it's a notch or two above the average bar. Their truffle Mac and cheese is really rich and really good. I've had the strawberry and spinach salad which is a refreshing summer dish. The mozzarella sticks come with a nice pesto sauce on the side. You can't go wrong with their chicken fingers either. They have a full bar and on Sunday's their mimosas are $2. You can't beat that.
What I love most is the outdoor seating. Definitely come early if you want a seat outside. The inside is pretty spacious and there are a lot of tables. Sometimes it gets so packed though that you'll just have to mingle by the bar which I don't mind at all. The service is pretty good.  I've never had issues waiting on drinks or food. It's a diverse crowd and the music selection is top 40 I would say. The inside is always really dark so it gives you  an illusion of being in a club. There's no dance floor but I don't think that stops anyone from getting their groove on.
Overall, the employees are nice. My favorite bartender Matt is no longer there but all of my favorite bouncers are. It's a good time and always a good starting or ending point when coming to Hoboken.

  5. Neat bar, drinks are average (it's a bar) and service was alright. I got there around 8pm – so it was still decently early and the windows were opened and airy. Around 11pm the Windows were shut and shades were brought down so it go really dark and "clubby" and the place got super packed. Music mixes were great – I loved that and I was jamming.

The upside is that we ordered fries and those things were amazing.

  6. Came here for an old friend's birthday once, and definitely has been one of the better bars I've been to in Hoboken. The drink prices weren't too bad for Hoboken, and the DJ was playing excellent club music. Mind you, if you didn't like progressive house music/EDM, then this place might not be for you because a lot of that is played.

Even on a summer Thursday night, it wasn't that packed which is always a plus so you have more space to dance around lol. One plus is that we were able to come back the next day since the old friend had lost a possession of hers; they found it and kept for us as we made our return to pick it up.

If I ever come back to Hoboken, I will hit this place up again.

  7. Great place for football Sundays!! It was very crowded but the service was great for a huge group of us!! (14)

Very good buffalo chicken dip and enjoyed some mozzarella sticks!!

  8. Finally tried 1Republik after years of just passing by and so happy I did. It was definitely happening and lit at 8pm. I came with a group of friends. We were able to get a booth. The music was great and they had a lot of tvs playing the games. We were here for dinner and drinks. The table ordered a classic mojito, a guava mojito and a mango punch. The only thing worth ordering again was the mango punch. The mojitos on the other hand were lacking everything. So after we immediately ordered beers. You can not go wrong with beers. A Hoegarden and a Stella did the trick. As for the food, it was great. We ordered a buffalo chicken wrap with fries, shrimp with pesto penne and chicken piccata with penne. It was surprisingly delicious. The pasta was flavorful. The pasta was cooked nicely and the chicken was tender. The wrap was delish. The buffalo sauce add a nice kick to the wrap. The staff was super friendly and prompt with the service. Do not know why I took so long to check 1Republik. I am definitely returning.
