Hot sugary coated peanuts! Yum! Carts all around the city. Cheap little snack. Usually a stand right outside many subway stops and around the parks or high traffic areas. Always there, always reliable. Hard, warm, crunchy goodness. The smell is intoxicating and lure you to them. I have picked up a bag from this stand a few times before taking a walk in the park.
Peanuts, cashews, almonds, and coconut, but I always come back to the old standby – peanut. Just simple sugary sweet crispy joy.
Street food nuts, you can't go wrong and it seems like a "must" when you're in NYC, so I get honey roasted cashews and/or pecans. Of course they're gone before they get cold.
