  1. Yay a new eatery in Lynbrook!  This spot has had a few names over the years but, I think this one is here to stay!  It def. had a nice facelift since it was Mary Mac's.  It has a much more "mature" feeling than Mary's did.  It has less of a "Let's get blackout drunk feel." (he he.)

Came here on a Friday around 7PM for dinner with Mom.  The parking was sparse so we both agreed, if there is a wait, we won't.

We walked right in and were seated by a lovely hostess.  She asked if this was our first visit and to let her know if she could assist us further. Nice.

    BUT!!!!!!!!!!…..

Friday night after working a long week, Friday dinner is chatty, catch up time for my Mom and I.  We were seated in the main bar area – high tables – very bar like.  That is absolutely fine but, it was the acoustic singer we were seated directly in back of, that wasn't something we were happy about.  The live singing/music was SO loud, and it was impossible to hear each other or hold a conversation.

Maybe we chose the wrong venue for our mom/daughter date nights.  Most of the patrons were enjoying the music.  We were just not fans.

Anyway,  menu has a great selection.  VERY creative and delicious sounding selections!  I can't wait to try one of each out the categories!  I wish I took a pic of the menu because I don't remember the actual name of the meal I had.  It was a traditional grilled cheese with bacon, tomato on the thickest most yummy white bread ever!  The fries were skin on, and beautifully done.  A crisp fresh pickle on the side.  It really was so tasty!  Mom had the ham and swiss grilled number that looked really good.  We both had leftovers to look forward to!

All in all, I will absolutely be a return customer for dinner and would love to have a nice night out for drinks.  If you are craft beer aficionado, try this place out!

  2. We really liked this place. Live music, good beer, and pretzels with beer cheese. Excellent customer service. Fine for children. Exactly what we needed on a Friday night after work. Didn't have Miller lite but had a great micro brew selection.

  3. Went here with a friend from High School to try out the new place. Compared to the dive that was Mary McNamara's (previously) this place is an absolute delux bar that is among the best in the area now. The decor is beautiful with thick planks of wood. There's now an eclectic food menu and numerous beers on tap. I ordered the bacon (because who doesn't love bacon????) which came with a side of jalapeño cornbread with maple syrup. Absolutely out of site. I had the wings as well and they were top notch. The craft beer selection is excellent and some even come in 32oz steins! Will come back again and again. This is the perfect Sunday game bar. There are plenty of televisions to watch any game and the bartenders are more than willing to change the channel to your game.

  4. I loved this place my first time here.  This place  has a descent selection of beer, but a little uninspired for a place called "craft". My wife and I had burgers on our first visit and they were solid.   Food was hot and fresh and the fries are fresh cut and served with the skin on, great flavor.  Our second time was not as great (for me).  My wife loved the hummus and the short rib grilled cheese (44).  She cut me a piece of this and I agreed with her that it may be one of the best sandwiches I've ever ordered at a restaurant.  The sandwich is cheesy and buttery and just a hint of smokey meet flavor.  Don't be confused, it's  not a short rib sandwich with cheese — it's a grilled cheese with short rib.

I found the humus too loose, too much tahini– not my thing.  I like a dryer crumbly hummus, but I do like wings and I like them hot, so I ordered hot wings.  These were, possibly, the worst wings I've ever eaten.  They had way too much heat but no flavor as a reward.  I like hot wings and I'm not crying that my wings were too hot, they were just not flavorful enough to make the heat worth it.  Some felt underdone, some felt over done.   There was no love put into these wings like the burger or the grilled cheese.  I'll give this place a good review because it's a cool place and I'll be back, but I won't be getting the wings.  They were practically inedible.  The Waitstaff is nice and I should probably tell them instead of tattling on Yelp, but I'm just not sure this dish can be saved unless someone who knows how to make wings the right way comes in and shows these guys how to do it.  For these things to come out of the same kitchen as that grilled cheese or those fries is beyond me.  Just a problem with execution.

  5. This place has been on my radar since it open., We recently stopped in an I'm really glad we did. I love the fact that this is a local full service Taphouse. The beer selection is really good and the food was delicious. Only wished they had some more menu items to choose from.My husband is still talking about the Black & Blue hot dog. Looking forward to returning soon.

  6. I was super happy and excited to come here. Finally a craft beer/bourbon related place locally.

This was the old  Charlie Gibsons, Mary Mac Namaras.

Sadly this was a one and done deal. Very disappointed.

It took nearly 25 mins to have the waitress to ask us what we wanted to drink while we sat at our table  (It wasnt packed or busy).  Craft beer bar, first 2 choices of beers we ordered they were out of it.

On to the food.  Horrible.  I ordered maple bourbon wings….they came out as buffalo wings.  They had to be sent back.  My bf ordered the bourbon burger….it came out with half the burger not in it (Bacon, pickles).  We had to send both back.

The waitress apologized and blamed it on the kitchen.  She tried to make up for everything and offered to buy us a round, but the dinner was so far gone at that point.

Fast forward 2 hours later – sick as a dog.

    We wont be back.
