“We usually order the lollipop chicken for appetizer and braised short rib for entree.”
“For extra charge ($8) we had fried coconut on vanilla ice cream which was exquisite in raspberry topping.”
“I loved everything I tried, but my favorite were the short ribs, with sautéed spinach and a cranberry compote.”

I have had both lunch and dinner here and enjoyed them both. There are many of the usual expected menu options such as spring rolls and coconut shrimp (which are really, REALLY yummy) and they also have some nice dumpling combinations. They were out of the spring rolls so they must be good.
I ordered a selection of appetizers and fried rice both times I came here so I can't speak to their entrees. The pineapple fried rice was really good. You have the option of adding a selection of protein. We opted for chicken, which was tender and well seasoned. Portion sizes are generous for the area, service is quick and our water glasses were always kept filled. We were never rushed. Although this place is located right in the heart of Hell's Kitchen, it is thankfully quiet and quaint. Prices are extremely reasonable.
My only "issue" is that my friend asked for a side order of peanut sauce. When it was delivered, it was very runny and watery. Although I understand that some people may make it differently, it just seemed a bit off.
Overall, it was a very nice dinner and I would return therefor either lunch or dinner.
So they have a special that includes your meal and appetizer and something else. Its really good I thought the pad Thai was very flavorful but our waitress wasn't that friendly. I would give them a 5 stars on the food but the place is very small and you are jam packed next to people you don't know.
Just finished dinner here using a groupon! Loved the decor & dinner was delicious. I had the Duck while my girlfriend had the short rib. Both dishes were delicious, my dish had way more vegetables than duck which was annoying. The most I can rave about is the service, the waitresses were very nice & attentive. Overall cute little spot for dates.
This is one of the few places you can go and get a decent meal without being taken to the cleaners, and within walking district of the Broadway theater district.
We were staying at the Comfort Inn Times Square West, and almost missed this place right next door, as it is extremely narrow -probably only about 10' of frontage.
Beautiful brick walls with Thai décor, including muti color glass ceiling lamps. Very noisy and cozy place, with tables very close together.
Padded seats on the wall of the tables closest to the front door was too upright and too short. The person with the smallest buns should sit there -should have let the wife have that spot!
I would sit as far from the front door as possible, as the winds pick up in the early evening, so when the front door opens, its like someone turned on the AC in overdrive, and cools down the food prematurely.
We order the $12 red curry chicken and the $12 chicken pad thai, very standard dishes.
Service is leisurely, with the hostess barely noticing us. However once we place the order, the dishes come out in record setting time.
The pad thai chicken comes with rice noodles, scrambled egg, onions, uncooked bean sprouts, and a generous portion of chicken. Presentation is perfect, but the pad thai is on the salty side.
The red curry chicken comes with green beans, red peppers, onions, lots of pieces of chicken, and pineapple chunks. White rice on the side. Huge portion, large enough that the wife can't finish it. This is what husbands are for!
We have plenty of time, and order the $6 strawberry milkshake for dessert. Takes forever for the dish to arrive -tougher to put out the milkshake, rather than the red curry chicken. Absolutely delicious, with real milk.
A neighboring table has two people quit their meal prematurely, due to the slow service -got to make that 8pm show, a 10 minute walk away.
Table across from us has two Dutch tourists ordering the soup and two duck dishes. Turned out the guy is heavy Tripadvisor contributor just like myself. Look forward to reading his review, although something is lost when translating a foreign language into English.
Meanwhile across the street, the Edson parking lot is getting filled with theater goers paying the $38 parking fee -more than we paid for our meal, after tip and tax. Those people lost their pants. Go to One Thai Chef and you won't lose your shirt.
Decent place in times sqaure with decent food. The food comes fast but the service might be a little slow.
It's hard to find- there isn't much signage so you have to look for the red door.
I got the Pad Thai and enjoyed it. The serving size was plenty, tasted great and the environment was pretty cozy.
It is a good place to get a fast meal if you're waiting for a Broadway show to start!! In fact, most of the people inside were doing just that!
It was not my choice to eat here. I was simply someone who has been invited to a birthday lunch for someone at my job. It was my first time and definitely the last time I'd ever come here.
I could tell just from my first sip of the Thai Iced Tea that whatever comes after was going to be pretty bad. Still, I held my breath and wished for the best. Thai Iced Tea tasted watered down and their Tom Yum Soup most definitely did not fit what anyone would consider a Tom Yum Soup. Pad Kee Mao was overly salty and there was hardly any flat noodles in the dish. It mostly consisted of vegetables and very little noodle/meat. I get that it's a lunch special, but Pad Kee Mao is a dry noodle dish. I had to dig around to find pieces of noodle on my plate. No bueno. I should also add the service was slow.
I am beginning to lose hope in Manhattan Thai restaurants. Maybe I should just stick to Queens.
I went there because my wife had found a groupon for this restaurant, and it was Halal. We went on a Friday night, it was surprisingly empty-ish when we got there. The restaurant is more dark/dim lighting than it needs to be. Its a quaint little restaurant, very narrow but long in size. Seating is intimate little booths with small tables for the size of dishes they use (or maybe we just ordered too much food!) Just be aware that there was a separate menu to choose from if you are using a groupon, so your choices might be more limited than what you see online, but you always have the option of selecting items from the regular menu and pay full price for them, which is what we ended up doing. The appetizers are small so plan on getting 2-3. The entree size is average NYC sizing so you wont be stuffed to capacity but you wont be left starving either. Shrimp rolls, calamari and lollipop chicken were yummy, lollipop chicken probably being the best of the three. Their pad thai and fried rice were both good, but nothing to rave about or crave later on. Beef shortribs were probably the star of the night, aside from their fried ice cream. Would go back again with the groupon (though we ordered a lot of things not from the groupon menu) but probably not go back again unless in the area and remember its there. Good Halal option though.
I went recently for an early dinner-the space is small and rectangular, like a long hallway. There was no air conditioning and the doors were open. There is limited outdoor seating. I got the drunken noodle dish which was very good. The beverage choices were limited so I go water. The price was reasonable-i would recommend and return.
