Been here a handful of times when I'm in town. I'm so glad they opened one here! Normally I had to drive to North Brunswick, which is considerably farther. This one is within walking distance from my house, WOOHOO!
The customer service is above average here, and mainly it's because the manager really pitches in. I've seen him twice, and he's friendly/cordial, and efficient. Almost makes me feel more confident in an establishment when the manager gets his hands dirty like everyone else, and also keeps everyone else in tip top shape. Having said that, my veggie burritos are always made quickly, and when I ask for an extra scoop of pico de gallo, that's no problem. And there are always lines at Chipotle, but they move quickly, so I never mind waiting.
Typical seating/spacing.
Chains, cha chains, chains, chains!!!!
Sometimes when you're on the highway and you need something super quick and super easy, you just gotta roll.
I order the salad option no rice, chicken, veggies, a lil' cheese, hot and mild salsa with the dressing every time. Every time it tastes the exact same, pretty effing good in the best of generic ways that Chipotle can.
This one wasn't bad, albeit small for the crowds it gets during dinner time.
Pros- very busy therefore food is VERY fresh from this location. Location- located in a busy strip mall in EB therefore it's easy to do some shopping and stop here for food
Cons- parking is a nightmare. It's an accident waiting to happen. I know it's not chipotles fault. It is very busy therefore the line can move very slow when people order multiple entrees. I've also had a few experiences where my food I had ordered ahead of time wasn't ready and I had to wait just as long as I would have had I been in line.
3.5 stars since they're shy of a full 4, but how can I bash a business I eat at 3-4 times a month??
One of my most favorite places to eat. It always has been & always will be. And the fact that they serve sofrita bowls… Yesssss! I was a big fan of just adding every single veggie side dish, but the stir fryed tofu gives it a kick and has an interesting texture (kinda like ground beef). I know people who hate tofu but loved the sofritas option at Chipotle.
The reason why i'm giving this particular Chipotle 3 stars was because of their poor customer service. One of the ladies serving us was extremely rude and unfriendly. She rushed us while we were deciding on our food, and when I asked if there was butter in the corn (I think it's a pretty standard question to ask if you're vegan), she replied with ''no why would there be" and continued to be hasty.
But besides the terrible service, I would recommend the food and going to a different location.
Chipotles are usually great but this place has a terrible crew working when I came in. One lady in particular had no customer service skills and was extremely rude. I hope she isn't here the next time I come
This review is solely based on the customer service that I received on July 1st.
As I was waiting in line one of the Chipotle employees began handing out reward cards ( not an actual reward card but somewhat of like a sign up kind of thing) but for some reason he passes the rewards out to every single person before me, gets to me SKIPS ME then proceeds to the couple that is behind me. Confused and very annoyed I politely waited for him to be done explaining the reward card process to the couple behind me and then proceeded.
I asked him "is there any reason why out of all the people in the line I was the only one not asked about wanting to sign up for a rewards card. And shockingly he actually said he didn't see me. I actually couldn't believe how even though I had on a bright red shirt I was unable to be seen.
Once I got up to the line the cashier asked me if I was interested in applying for the rewards card. I simply said, " yes, especially since for some reason your fellow coworker wasn't able to see just me. The initial employee heard what I said and responded so nasty.
I just think it's a shame when you come to these big chain food places and are expected to be treated like the paying customer that you are.
This Chipotle will not be receiving any business from me anymore.
I use to love coming to Chipotle but oh my goodness they got expensive! I remember when it use to cost $7 for a burrito with guacamole. Now it is nearly $11! The food is great but they sure do give you a lot less of an amount than they originally did which is such a disappointment because of the price you are paying. Usually they are very quick when you are waiting in a long line of people so that is a plus.
For some reason, this Chipotle is always crowded. I've been here weekdays, weekends, dinner time, middle of the afternoon, it doesn't matter. I really have no idea why, especially since the service is lackluster and the parking in front can be an accident waiting to happen with the way it's structured. Maybe being right in the middle of Rt 18 has something to do with it or the fact that it's (relatively) new, but it still puzzles me. In the end, it's still Chipotle so the food is decent, and it's close by so I'll stop by every few months.
