I was walking by and checked this place out.
This place is strangely organized – the beverages are against one wall, and there's a takeout counter with seating all around. Seems a bit strange when walking in.
The service here was disorganized. Had one person start me out behind the counter, another actually set a table for me, and the original guy behind the counter take the order itself. I ordered the "VIP" sandwich, which is pastrami and corned beef. Not a bad sandwich, and the New York-style bread was nice.
All in all, decent food but I felt like the service was an afterthought, as if this place is a carryout joint with table service on the side.
First thing that you see is that the walls – all the walls – are full of signs like "NO LAPTOP, NO PHONE, NO IPAD", "YOU HAVE MAX 30 MIN ONCE SERVED" (or similar) and "NO WIFI SERVICE!", etc. This is a place that want to sit you down, have you eat your stuff (as quickly as possible) and get you out the door as soon as possible. Overall it was tricky to eat with the time limit but at the same time not daring to get your phone from your pocket to check the time… 😉
Anyway, I'm not sure if my expectations were wrong but the sandwich with cheese and ham I got is the most basic white sliced bread you can think of and all it does taste is fat and salt. Visually you can tell there is ham and cheese, but you don't really taste it.
