  1. Not the best food, but one of the closest food places by NYU College of Nursing/Dentistry School and NYU Langone/Bellevue Hospital. When you have 15 minutes in between classes, this is the place you go to. This deli is actually quite large and has a lot of variety. Their sandwiches are gigantic here and they look like they were made for 2. For me, personally, I stick to their buffet section and order some grilled salmon, avocado, veggies and quinoa. Food hits the spot when you just want a quick fix.

  2. I'm a fan because the prices here are quite a relief from typical NYC prices. There is an extensive menu for breakfast and lunch, as well as other typical deli snacks, drinks, and goods. I got bagels with cream cheese both times here and payed only $2.40 each time. The bagels itself were a bit small, but i don't eat that much anyway. The first time, I got the lox spread, which was very good! but could have been better with a few more pieces of salmon. Second time, I got scallion cream cheese which I thought was delicious! Just the right amount of scallion:cream cheese ratio, nicely salted, right amount of cream cheese, etc. And both times, the bagels were nice and hot and toasted.

The salad bar is also decently priced, and about 5.50 to $7.00. You can make your own salad or there's pre-made salad. The serving size is pretty filling too.

The lunch bar has a nice variety ranging from Asian food to american style, and its $7.99 per pound.

  3. Cafe delicious is your typical NYC deli. It's nice cause it's located on 1st Avenue where only hospitals reside.  There really isn't anything to eat here so I appreciate this place very much.

Cafe delicious has a hot bar which I will say is pretty decent. It includes sushi, yes sushi that is stuffed with rice but nevertheless it's one of the options. They also have a salad bar with your typical meat and 5 add ons. One annoying thing is that they have a minimum credit card of $8. I always get the salad which a small comes out to $7.50 and always need to pay with cash. Did they do that on purpose??? Probably.  Anyways. For where you are this is a great find in the land of no restaurants.

  4. Not quite sure why there's a bunch of negative reviews for Cafe Delicious. I live one block from the deli and have been stopping in recently. I've only ordered breakfast sandwiches and they've been really good each time I've ordered one. I normally have a bacon egg & cheese and the cheese is extra cheese and delicious, which I love. When the cheese isn't even melted that's the worst.

I did get an iced coffee the other day and didn't love it, but that totally could've been my fault because it's a bar where you make your own coffee. I'll definitely try out the coffee again. The prices are a bit high, but there's really nothing else around at all. I would totally suggest stopping by if you're in the area and looking to grab something quick!

  5. Food market-deli offering many options for breakfast,  lunch, dinner and in-between to  local hospital and construction workers in the Bellevue,  NYU Hospital area.  Large variety of juice,  soda,  snacks,  sandwiches, plus hot and cold buffet by the pound.  Fast moving service, the lines move quickly.  Count your change!

  6. Standard deli with some good food options and overpriced snacks/drinks. Decent breakfast sandwiches (they charge an extra $1 if you order it after 10:30am though) and hot bar (I recommend ideally going for lunch before noon if you can – I'd rather not eat food that's been sitting out there all day for dinner) options. I've never tried the salad, but it seems like a viable option if you're in the mood for greens. Nothing out of the ordinary, but convenient if you're around the hospitals in the area. Just make sure to have cash on you since the minimum to use a credit card is $8. They'll most likely let it slide during the lunch rush, but they're pretty strict about that when there isn't heavy traffic running through the store.

  7. With a name like cafe delicious you expect to be disappointed, but this place actually lives somewhat up to their name.

I've gotten a bunch of different sanchwiches ranging from chicken cutlet, to burritos, to steak sandwiches. Never really been disappointed.

  8. After moving cross the street, this became the closest lunch place for me. There are pretty much everything I need to feed myself. There are normally two option: for non-training days, salad, and workout days-buffet.

The salad is make you own style. Lettuce, spinach, or green is your base. On top of that you choose six more ingredients and one meat. After the staff put everything into a bowl, you pick your dressing and they will mix it for you. $8.

The buffet is pretty much the same everything. I normally go for my all fish platters, including steamed salmon, octopus, fried shrimp, and fried white fish, on top of mix green, no dressing.$7.99/lb.
