David S., I'm glad that you had a good experience at Spiros but I was there a couple years ago and haven't been back. I didn't get to sample anything except maybe the water, because my menu came with a dead roach stuck between the pages, and I left immediately. Bummer.
This diner is much better than Three Stars Restaurant a few blocks down on Ave U. The decor is dated. The quality is typical for a low key diner but you really get a bang for your buck. I don't think I ever finished my meal whenever I eat here.
I spent two hours here chatting with a friend. I did not feel pressured to leave though we were brought out check early without me asking for it.
I always walk by this restaurant and finally decided to give it a try. It was about 2:30pm and not many people there which is nice since we didn't have to wait for a table. I ordered the french toast with sausage and my bf ordered the gyro platter. The french toast was good but nothing spectacular that you can't get anywhere else. The gyro platter was really good. It also comes with awesome fries. Something about the fries are REALLY GOOD! I like that breakfast is all day long, sometimes you just get that crazing so it's nice to have somewhere nearby to go to. I'll come back again and check out their other food options.
