  1. Service was great and the food yummy like always. I wasn't able to gain access to the bathroom because an old lady was in there for twenty minutes. I was very scared to go in after her. I really was shocked on how nice the guy behind the register was.

  2. The best part about going to this branch was reading the hilarious Yelp reviews on it. The worst part is pretty much everything else.

This Taco Bell location may be a self-fulfilling prophecy – it's a poor dining experience that leads to few people going (it was emptier on a Monday night than any other restaurant nearby), and since few people go there isn't exactly any motivation to improve the experience. As a result you're left with a disappointment to both the chain and fast-food restaurants overall.

    * There are literally only two employees working there, resulting in some very slow service. It took roughly five minutes for me to get to place my order even though there was only one person ahead of me. (If this were the Union Square location, you'd wait on a longer line and yet already have your food ready by this time.)
    * The menu is on the pricier side, and is closer to what you'd see in at the Penn Station or Union Square locations, both of which can justify their prices because unlike this spot they have actual foot traffic.
    * The manager charged 80 cents to add nacho cheese to a vegetarian burrito. 80 cents for "cheese"? Really?
    * My "crunchy" taco shell was stale, and the beef didn't taste as good as other locations.
    * Shortly after my friend and I ate our food there was a period of time where our stomachs felt a little upset.
    * There are no free refills. The soda dispenser is located behind the counter, and your beverage selection isn't even visible to the customer when you order.
    * The napkins, straws, and hot sauce are all located on the counter. A customer had to ask the manager to take out more napkins because he didn't realize what was missing right in front of him.
    * Without going in detail, the bathroom toilet had some dirtiness issues. (The rest of the seems okay in terms of cleanliness.)

I've had better Taco Bell experiences everywhere else I've been to in the city, whether it's in Manhattan (Union Square and Penn Station) or Queens (Queens Center Mall and Northern Boulevard). So unless this Astoria location gets a major revamp, stay away from it.

  3. i don't understand how it's possible to have service as slow as this place.  the "food" also gives me severe heartburn.

  4. Kinda perplexing when coming here. I think a lot of the associates have language barriers so if you wanna change an order be prepared to have a rough time communicating it to the associates. My brother wanted a vegetarian taco with beans instead of meat and the guys behind the counter just could not understand the change. It took about five minutes of back and forth. My brother even had to ask me if he had said no meat.
On top of the vegan change fiasco, they made my food meatless as well which I had never asked for at all. Not a vegan here in any sense.
Truth be known, there are better taco places in the neighborhood so don't waste your time here and save yourself the headache.
