  1. This is a Korean Chinese restaurant that also serves fairly standard Korean dishes, like Korean BBQ dishes and naeng myung. I came here a couple of weekends ago with my family and we all ate rather heartily. I didn't get to try any of the Korean Chinese dishes, so I can't speak for them. I did quite enjoy my vegetable soon dubu, which came piping hot (as per any soon dubu dish, really) and was pleasantly spicy.

Definitely not a bad place to check out, and it's much closer for those who live in Whitestone and don't want to make the trek out to Murray Hill/Bayside.

  2. It's been a long while since I've been able to find good Korean style noodles with black bean sauce. I ain't ashamed to admit that I like the Korean version of Jjajangmyeon better than the Chinese Zhajiangmian/Ja Jiang Mein..because it is better. Much, much better. And this place makes their noodle the same bouncy way I had it the first time 15 years ago at a restaurant that long closed before Yelp even got a chance to be on the Internet.

They have other noodles of course and Korean BBQ too. But I think they promote the Jjajangmyeon for a reason. It comes spicy too, if you like that sort of thing…spicy things, I mean.
