  1. This has to be the worst dim sum place ever in Queens. Will never return. I always rate on the food first, then the service.  FOOD WAS TERRIBLE. There were no flavor to the chicken feet at all, the color was off, like it wasn't marinated long enough.  The meat and the shrimp didn't taste fresh to me at all. That one star has to go to the push cart ladies, they do work hard and tried hard to sell their food.

On a side note, the dot on the map to the restaurant is wrong. It's not next to the 74th street station.  It's a few blocks from the Elmhurst station.

  2. This is THE place I go to every time there's a huge family dinner of 13 people. Based on all my dinner experiences, they do a great job with making large Chinese dishes. They are especially good with seafood! Such as clams, lobster, and crab. If you are here for dinner you have to get the salt and pepper fried squid or shrimp or scallops! Their also do really good salt and pepper lamb chops! Really juicy and well seasoned.

The issue I have with this place is the uncleanliness. Right when I sat down and looked at my plate, I saw dried rice residue. Sometimes cups aren't wiped clean either. Also, they are good at making dishes, but the sauces they provide for any dish is always TERRIBLE! I don't even know why they bother putting out the sauces on the side for us..

  3. The Cantonese shop owner next door to this place recommended this restaurant when I asked him where were the Dim Sum places in Elmhurst. Came here on a Friday morning after an appointment.

The food could be so much better. There were already 4-5 tables of the senior set& the waitress came right away with a tray. I got beef sheet rolls, chicken feet, tripe, & chive dumplings came later. The food tasted good on the first bite, then got cold pretty fast. I started noticing how oily the sauce on the tripe was, the chicken feet sauce seemed to have congealed cornstarch sauce, & the filling for the shrimp chive dumpling was also very cornstarchy & at first there was a dirty water taste. Sheet rolls were fine & very good. The food just didnt seem very well marinated or prepared.

People & groups did start coming in by 11am. Maybe I need to come during peak weekend hours for warmer or fresher food? Or maybe I got the leftovers from yesterday? Not satisfied for Dim Sum.

  4. Did this dim sum spot get a another new owner? I think it was called "New Broadway" at one point. Anyway, this place sucks! The service is a disaster in this restaurant. If you ever decide to come, never be seated upstairs. It's ridiculously loud and crowded. The dim sum carts can't even make it to certain areas on the 2nd floor. You need to get up and point out the which dishes you want and they'll bring it to your table with a mean attitude. Not only did we had their dim sum, I also ordered their seafood pan fried noodles and sweet and sour pork chops.

The seafood pan fried noodles here went down a notch. Back then, the noodles and sauce was pretty tasty but now, it's bland, too gooey, and cold. The seafood they use now is cheap. The shrimps are smaller, squid isn't as good, and no more scallops in the dish. What I did like was their sweet and sour pork. That came out nice and hot. The meat was nice and tender. Other than that, the entire experience at this restaurant was miserable on a Easter Sunday. Little kids running around and shouting all over the place. Waiters are telling me that they don't have mustard sauce. And also, it took me and my wife like 3-4 tries to explain to different waiters in English and in Mandarin we wanted to order sweet and sour pork chops. The morons didn't get it. I must of said "sweet and sour PORK chops" a million times, after the millionth time, the guy finally understood, nodded and said "ohhh, sweet and souwa PORG, oh I undastand".

Verdict – Absolute morons working in this joint….

  5. How do you get a seat in here?  They did not give us a number, and they sent us upstairs when we asked for a table for 5.

We went upstairs and they just said we have to wait.  So we just ended up hoovering over tables until someone left.  And then had to let another party know that we were there before them, so the table is ours.

No ventilation upstairs and the food is very mediocre.  I asked for spicy mustard and the workers said they don't carry it.   I asked another worker and he said he'll bring it over.  Waited 20 minutes and I asked again and he said he didn't have any small sauce plates.
I decided to just go downstairs, asked one of the servers if I could get spicy mustard and he gave it to me right away.

The service is like night and day from upstairs to downstairs.  We also ordered a Singapore Chow Mei Fun for the table and that took 30 minutes.  I was about to cancel it.  I can't believe it took that long for a dish to come out.   Very disappointed.  IF you must eat here, I suggest getting a table on the first floor.

  6. Came here for dinner with my boyfriend's family. Overall I thought the food was pretty good. I ate a ton. Nothing really to complain about (except for the fact that the place has a C rating and apparently horrible reviews on here… but luckily I didn't read any reviews or see the rating before sitting down to eat).

  7. What is it about finding a good Dim Sum place in this neighborhood? Do I have to go to Flushing, Brooklyn or Manhattan?

Been to this restaurant long time ago. They have changed their name and now as you walk by you see all those hanging chicken by the window, pork and  organ meats below.

Here on a weekday and it was not busy for Dim Sum. We walked in and waiter motioned us to sit in the table that he was putting the table cloth on.

Not much of a selection when it come to the choices for Dim Sum here. You probably will have to make a request or ask for the item. There were like two women that brought items around with carts.

You have to flag down the waiter to order items. They only ask what you want to drink when you sit down at table in the beginning and then they move elsewhere.

Not impressed with the food here nor the service.
