Not going to be confused with any place in Chinatown but it's the closest to my apt and on my walk home from work so…. I must admit I get a weird craving for this odd dish they make called "coconut chicken". Does it taste like coconut? not at all. To be honest I dont even know what the heck it is except its sesame chicken style chunks in a kinda gloppy and sweet white sauce.(sounds yummy huh?) but for some reason I get a craving for this combo. (7.50 with pork fried rice and egg roll) I add soy sauce and siraccha to it to counter the sweetness and Im a happy camper. I come here often enough to get a "hello my friend" from the counter lady who does have goodbye issues as she usually just plops your bag down and walks away. There is always a lil kid in the place too and I kinda feel sorry for him. How fun can it be spending all day in a tiny kitchen?
Great value for the buck. You can buy tons of food for just a few bucks. However, the food is mediocre. I've had better Chinese food than this but this is the closest Chinese take-out in the hood. I just recommend you avoid the beef dishes (the beef is tough and hard to chew). I love their lunch specials though, can't beat 5 bucks for your choice of meat+pork fried rice+egg roll. I always have leftovers.
