We had a family dinner at Imperial 46. We opted to do hibachi (they do have regular tables with a full menu). The servers were very friendly and accommodating. They provided us with a highchair for my 2 year old niece and gave her trainer chopsticks which she mastered in 2 minutes. The hibachi chef put on a good show. Portion sizes were generous, the food was good and prices were reasonable. One person in our party wanted to order off the menu instead of having hibachi and it wasn't a problem. They do get crowded rather quickly on a Saturday night so, if you don't mind eating early, try to make reservations for 5 or 530pm. By 6:30 all the hibachi tables were full.
My go to hibachi place in my area.
1. Make a reservation they can get busy
2. Lots of food for a decent price
3. Good sushi and Chinese if your not feeling the hibachi
4. Very accommodating with food/diet restrictions
5. BYOB
Came here for Hibachi, and they have redeemed themselves in my eyes.
Our servers were very friendly. The hibachi chef was a lot of fun and very interactive with us.
My steak was cooked perfectly.
Hibachi dinners come with onion soup, salad, a hibachi shrimp sampler (which we didn't get but was advertised and is the only reason I'm deducting a star), entree, and ice cream.
It is BYOB.
Not sure I'd come here for just the Chinese/Japanese cuisine since my last experience was terrible, but the hibachi is great!
Went for lunch on a weekend and the place was pretty empty so if you want to come, consider going at an earlier time. This was my first time to this hibachi, and I know they can get crowded at night. Only my boyfriend and I and two other people were at the table, so there was a small wait in order to get someone else as we were seated first.
It's pretty standard as far as hibachis go but still delicious. The chef was entertaining and we didn't have to worry about refills. Since part of the cost is for the enjoyment of the food cooked in front of you, it's something to do on occasion for a date. For the ice cream, be adventurous and try the red bean or green tea if you never have! It's unusual at first, but still interesting and it's good to try new things.
I would have never known about Imperial 46 had my husband not introduced me to it, but I am quite glad he did. I've only had the sushi here, but it was really tasty for a place that from the outside didn't look like it would be anything great. Atmosphere is interesting, lots of high booths and hibachi tables in the center. Would love to try the hibachi here, a lot of people have written good things, so will maybe give this a try when I go back. I had the sushi while I was there and my husband had Chinese. Food seems pretty good as well for serving different types of Asian cuisine. Service was fine, no complaints there, just wish the location was better…
Had the chicken teriyaki plate, which actually isn't chicken teriyaki – or the flavor that I'm used to at the very least.
Regardless of the teriyaki sauce not tasting or even looking like teriyaki it was delicious! It came with a ginger dressing topped salad (pretty good), white rice and miso soup (standard flavor).
We where seated promptly and the table was clean, atmosphere was pretty nice, nothing extraordinary but pleasant.
Dessert was really great, both the chocolate covered vanilla cream and fried ice cream.
Would recommend for a nice lunch or dinner
did not try the food, when I came in, the staff was cleaning the tables with windex, while there were still some customers eating! And when I sat down, a medium size roach came crawling across my table. That did it for me, maybe I'll try again next year.
come here with a group for hibachi and you'll definitely have a great time. the staff, everyone from the waitstaff to the chef to the manager gets involved and makes sure you have a great time. maybe it's because I haven't had hibachi in a long time but the food was great as well. the highlight was the fried ice cream, probably the best I've had. BYOB puts the cherry on top! will definitely be back.
