  1. I've been coming here since I was 7 years old. It's definitely the best chinese within 10 minutes of us. I've had it all here and enjoyed everything!

I wish the dumplings were a bit crispier.

It's not pricey and they are fast. I do wish they delivered.

  2. Set in a small space with large windows, this pretty restaurant is a very relaxing spot to sit and enjoy lunch.

There are trees in front of the windows lit up with lights and each table has its own separate space.

The food is well prepared.  For example, I ordered the General Tso's chicken and it was big chunks of white meat chicken with a coating, not slathered in sauce like at most places.  The fried rice to the side was not greasy, but light.

For $7.50 I got a complete meal.  Starting off with Hot and Sour soup (mushroom, bean curd), next arrived my entree, which was General Tso's chicken with fried rice.  Both were nice portions, not small.

The drinks we had came with the meal, being ice water and a pot of jasmine tea.  Refills were available.  In other words, both the pot of tea and the water were refilled.

The service was very attentive and even supplied us with an extra bowl of those crunchy noodles which came with hot mustard and duck sauce.

Very relaxing place to go for a lunch.

  3. My absolute favorite Chinese place.

Their chicken and black sauce is without equal in my book.

Friendly place, with free 'chips' and tea is a nice touch.

Whenever I'm in the area, I try to swing by, give it a try!

  4. Solid Chinese establishment in the downtown of Chatham. Shabby interior. Well priced and tasty lunch options. However services mediocre and the quality of the food is just average. However if you are in Chadham and are looking for a decent option bean curd is not a bad place to go. I will be back

  5. Better than average Chinese place .I'd been here years ago and had liked it.Good cold sesame noodles, better than average chow fun and some good pork and chicken dishes. The service was good. The place is small and a little cramped.Went early on a Sunday night and it was pleasantly uncrowded.

  6. My neighbors and coworkers (who live in Chatham) have been raving about this place for sometime. Apparently this is the go to place for Chinese food. I gave in and decided to try it.  He said the order would take 30 mins…a concern although it was busy.  When I picked up the food, I noticed the place is small. Located on a corner lot, the parking is confusing (if you find a spot). For a General Tso's dinner, fried meat dumplings and shrimp Lo Mein dinner for over $35???? I didn't realize it was so expensive until I got home. They don't even package it in a nice package. They put everything in a white take out box. No napkins, no utensils, no extra sauce…what the heck???  The price they charge it should be in those nice microwavable containers…Now to the meal itself. 1. The general Tso's was rubbery, non spicy (none at all), no flavor and drenched in their sauce. Terrible. 2. The dumplings were all dough and virtually no meat inside. For what I could taste meat wise, it seemed decent.  3.  The Shrimp Lo Mein was ok (just tried a little as we shared what we had).
After this over hyped meal, I will not listen to my neighbors and coworkers.

  7. It is salty. I went here once years ago and found the food nearly inedible. Clearly some people like it, as it has been around for decades.

  8. I've been frequenting bean curd since I was about 4 years old. Their food is fresh and delicious and the owners (it's family-owned) are super nice and hospitable. Prices are extremely reasonable for such great Chinese food.
