My office received a party platter of sandwiches from Vitale's so I can't comment on how their restaurant/deli interior looks, but the food is amazing.
Everything from sandwiches/subs to cookies and the chilled pasta salad were great. Particularly memorable was one of their chicken subs that came with a thinly-sliced chicken cutlet (fried) and then topped with mozzarella, some broccolini and roasted peppers. IDK what else they put on it or what sandwich it was, just that it was REALLY good.
Stepped in with a coworker and we both ordered the pastrami panini (it was one of the specials of the day). The sandwich was HUGE. I somehow managed to finish half of the sandwich and took the other half back, which I'll probably end up having for lunch tomorrow. It is officially the end of my work day and I am still feeling pretty full.
The staff was extremely friendly, especially the guy who rang us up at the cash register and brought us our food. It didn't take too long for the food to come out but the server apologized for the wait. I really liked the decor of the place. It sort of felt as if we were sitting at a cute cafe in Italy.
Can't wait to come back and try another one of their specials!! I already have my eyes on the steak flank and Caesar salad or the chicken parm 🙂
Great authentic Italian restaurant. Not much for ambiance, more of a takeout place but everything from a nice deli you need. Tons of sandwiches, paninis, pizzas, pastas, etc. all the meats, breads, and cheeses are top notch. Even the eggplant panini my wife ordered that I made fun I was amazing. I couldn't put it down.
Typical to these types of places everything is huge. I eat a ton and you can split a sandwich with someone easily.
Why in gods name aren't there places like this in DC other than the Italian store?!? Not all can do them as well as this place but I need more delis that have these types of quality ingredients. Even the balsamic is great.
One of a few hidden gems in Parsippany. It's off of Eastbound Route 46 hiding with a few other spots, so if you are just driving by you will not notice this place. I lived right next town and it took me a little more than 10 years to find out about this place. (Getting a job that's much closer to my house probably helped as well!) Staffs are very friendly and food is good. Honestly I would imagine anything this restaurant has to offer is good. So far, though, Chicken Parm sub is my to-go for lunch.
