  1. I went during Passover and got some matzo brei. The menu said it was served with 2 sides of your choice but the waitress seemed unsure about it. It ended up coming with lettuce and tomato which is a strange choice of sides for the dish. The matzo brei wasn't very good, way too eggy and I definitely wouldn't ever order it again. Everyone who tried it though it was terrible. My girlfriend got a skillet omelet and it was decent, the home fries that came with it were good as well. One of the members of our group ordered a skillet omelet and told the waitress that he wanted it without the fries however he still received fries with it. I guess this place does pretty well in such a small town but I would actively avoid coming back.

  2. Typical suburban diner with average diner food.  Nothing special, nothing eclectic.

Servers later in the evenings when things are quiet are friendly and chatty in a good way.  But on average the service is poor.  No one comes by to check on you unless you wave them over.  They are accommodating when you ask for things like high chairs, more napkins, etc.  A good place if you just want some variety but  a lot of the food tastes not so home made and processed.  Wide variety of diner type fare and convenient.

You have to pay upfront.  I like the option to pay at the table when I'm done.  But I'll go there again when I want diner food.  Not great but certainly not horrible.

  3. Our Millburn Diner waitress was nice but a little wonky (no, I won't elaborate).  We only ate dessert, and it was all delicious…huge pieces of chocolate cake and cheesecake, and I had a big dish of Jell-O with whipped cream.  The place needs a little bit of a renovation, but overall it was a decent Jersey diner.

  4. What in the world….

I know this is like a small town's diner but since everyone drives, and you can get any food within a 10 minute drive there should be no reason anyone should come here. Food is NOT cheap and its definitely not good.

Belgian Waffles: Not even crispy, no substance. Definitely kind of tasted like a wet cardboard folded into a waffle shape with plenty of air blasted into it. Mediocre at best

    "Special" Salmon w/ greek salad
Crispy overcooked salmon. Like some of them were burnt. They also left the grey/brown underbelly part of the salmon in as little slivers….. Greek salad has limp and old leaves, chopped up tomatoes which had a little sliminess over it which means it could of been sitting anywhere forever…. and the grape leaves… when i bit into it the rice was so overcooked it was pretty much a rice mush.

I basically just ate the salmon and thought of it as extra crunchy/crispy salted fish (oh well) and didnt touch the salad at all..

Honestly people of Millburn (or tourists passing by), do yourself a favor and go eat somewhere else.

  5. There is a huge selection. Sometimes a good thing, sometimes overwhelming especially when nursing a hangover. No granola fruit parfait. And the home fries not good. We are returning vistors since this seems to be the biggest diner in the area, we visit once a year.

  6. Good, reliable diner food. Waitstaff is occasionally surly but is efficient. No complaints!

  7. The Millburn diner is nice and I go there because its convenient, close to my place, but I wouldn't drive out of my way for it.  I haven't had anything bad here ever… just don't consider it a stand-out place.  Their breakfasts are pretty good, and their specialty salads and the tuna melts are also usually pretty good.  The place is usually very busy on the weekends.

  8. This diner kicks butt.  Every time I come here I leave happy.  It's a Jersey diner without glitz but great food.  Went with my Daughter for breakfast to cure my hangover.  We were greeted by a very pretty hostess who was super friendly.  Our waitress got us menus and coffee ASAP.  She was on the ball and very nice.  Had corned beef hash, with home fries and tow eggs over easy plus rye toast.  All that for $7.95.  Yummy.  My Daughter got blueberry pancakes and sausage also delicious.  Service was excellent.  No matter what time of day the choices are overwhelming and from my experience all good.  You should go here because it is awesome.
