"Fried chicken while drunk? Check"
This is a typical Popeyes (no frills and no thrills). You have fried chicken; you have fried shrimp; you have beverages high in sugar; and you have "red beans and rice" and other sides. If you will really like "juicy" coleslaw then this will be your spot.
This place is not much to write home or to New Orleans about but they have the basic chicken products that I (and many people) desire when I am drunk. Unfortunately for me, this Popeyes is located right next to the subway so one can smell the fried goodness as you leave the train's platform. Plus, there are not too many food options in this area where you can sit and eat your food late a night (or early in the morning).
For the most part, the customer service is A-OK (actually some of the cashiers are pretty funny). OH! Sometimes if you get there right before they close on a weekend (around 2-3am), you may get extra chicken or biscuits in your two piece box. If you are dinning in, especially late at night, there are usually people there just "hanging." I do not know if they are hanging because they are high, drunk, crazy, or homeless. Also, there have been many occasions where I have been harassed for change.
Popeyes we've never had a problem before I don't know what your deal was last night. I came after a night of drinking at the casino. Needed a fried foods fix.
What I ordered: a three piece with Cajun fries and a three biscuits. Yes three biscuits!
What I received: a three piece with regular fries and three wee little baby biscuits.
Soooo Popeyes I love the Cajun fries, I didn't even know there was an option for regular fries none seasoned fries. Since when. So I asked the person who took my order and after telling me he tells all his customers they don't have Cajun fries I had to point out that wasn't entirely true hence me asking about the fries. I was also looking for the signature orange and white logo box. Not last night apparently they ran out.
I left disappointed for the first time in forever. I hope it's just this location. I want the Cajun fries and normal sized biscuits and the orange and white logo box

Whenever I want a crispy fried and spicy chicken wing I come here. Always hot and fresh.
