Chipotle Mexican Grill
“I also got the burrito bowl, which is great for those of you trying to cut down on the carb/bread intake.”
“It burns slower in your belly, and you will feel fuller, longer unlike white rice which is a simple carb and burns faster.”
“The outcome is always better than Q-tip-oba and independent (weep) tortilla wrapped products (EXCEPT Taco Truck) in the Mile Square.”

I've been to a lot of Chipotle's – what can I say, as the 4 stars say, "I'm a fan." That being said, this one was a pretty standard location – clean, average in size, gave a decent portion of everything I ordered (meat included), staff was nice, and it took a normal about of time to get through the line.
That being said, I do think this location was a bit cleaner and quicker than most, but honestly, nothing out of the ordinary. Would definitely visit again to satisfy my Chipotle craving if I were in the area.
Another food chain review, but I don't care because I love Chipotle! This location is one of the better ones-clean, lines move pretty quick, friendly employees, and FRESH FOOD!
Most importantly this Chipotle is generous with the amount of meat/guac they put in your bowl. If I'm paying $2.10 for guac..I better get a good amount and they do just that! Only downside is the sodium is up the roof …but that's what happens when you look into the nutritional facts.
I am glad a Chipotle has set up shop in town; competition is always a good thing. This particular location features all the options that are typical of the chain. It also has a lot of seating – big plus! If like chain Mexican restaurants, feel free to come here.
Recently opened location (7/2016).
Popped in – a little disingenuous layout, but I understand they were trying to make a longer line space particularly given the demand from a crowd tired of a simple menu in the area.
Staff was friendly, reasonably fast, but not particularly good at following the instructions on what to put and not put on the burrito bowl. Still, once sorted out, turned around… and have to say, the seats hurt for those with back issues (like my fellow diners that night). They may want to consider something slightly more comfortable in the future.
Tables.. a little dirty, they should also have someone going around to wipe those off more frequently.
The quality of the Chipotle food is pretty consistent throughout the chain so no complaints on the food quality here.
Two cons about this location:
1. They tend to skimp out on the portions they give you. I asked for more rice and it was basically a normal portion city size.
2. They do not know how to wrap burritos. I watched as they wrapped my burrito…THREE times. The guy asked if it was okay that it has a BIG GAPING HOLE in it. No, it's not okay.
This place opened very recently. I have been to many other Chipotles. This one didn't have a huge line and the staff were pretty friendly.
::Ambiance::
A big place with lots of high tables and chairs.
::Food::
Same flavor and quality as other Chipotles. However, I didn't get as much food as other Chipotles.
::Service::
Friendly staff.
I HATE REVIEWING CHAINS.
There. My wannabe Indie/holier-than-thou self put itself out there. Now, on with the review.
I've used the Chipotle iPhone app several times for this place for pickup and I will tell you this: always accurate, ready when I come to pick up and served with a smile. The outcome is always better than Q-tip-oba and independent (weep) tortilla wrapped products (EXCEPT Taco Truck) in the Mile Square. In short, reliable, fresh, tasty and quick. Can't complain.
This Chipotle is pretty standard. It's a mirror image of the recently opened East Rutherford location, which appears to be the new corporate design for franchises. This Chipotle in Hoboken is located near many other Mexican establishments, from other fast food chains like Qdoba and the local Taco Truck and sit-down restaurants like Charrito's and Sabores. It's definitely a contender in the crowded Mexican food scene.
