While in the Upper West Side, I had an emergency date with the Porcelain King which thankfully Subway Sandwich has a customer facility. Of course, I purchased a bottle of strawberry flavored milk at $1.49 to qualify as a patronage in order to utilize the facility. The facility is surprisingly in fair clean condition with ample supply of toilet paper.
Staff produces slow service during peak lunch hour for long queues, which is aggravatingly annoying.
My girls ask for Subways after school on ocassion, today was one of those days. They are very friendly and always treat the girls well.
The portions are a bit on the skimpy side but this is the case with every NYC Subways I have purchased from, the meats are pre measured in small paper containers. Apparently it is different elsewhere, I remember when you were able to actually buy a sandwich from Subways that looked like the sandwiches in the photographs hanging all over the walls and menus, this has not been the case for many years and it has cost them a considerable amount of my business.
