  1. I love Subway, and sadly had my first bad experience with the brand. I should have followed my instincts after seeing the warning signs. The employee or manager (unsure of his rank) was seated in the customer area as if on break, talking on his phone.

    I walked in and he immediately got up and went behind the counter to take my order while the phone was still on his ear. SERIOUSLY? Is that customer service? I ordered the footlong oven-roasted chicken sandwich on toasted honey oat with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, and honey mustard. If you could see how sloppily my sandwich was made, you'd be upset too to pay $7. The bread was falling apart and he just squeezed the chicken on the other side, which barely fit.

    He processed my order then went right back outdoors on his phone. The tabletops were not cleaned. I mean absolutely disgusting experience. Yes, it's after normal business hours and it's slow, but the sandwich still costs the same and therefore the quality of service should be high standard, as if it were noon time. I'll stick to my usual locations.
