  1. Hosting out of towners for a work conference and they wanted to take a walk and have fried chicken for lunch. So bizarre, visting NYC for the first time and they want to eat fast food rather than sample any number of the local restaurants.
Since this was their visit, I took them to Popeye's where they placed their orders. We were told that these orders were not among today's specials so we would have to wait a while for them to come up.

    We waited.
    We waited.
    We waited.

Our hour for lunch had 20 minutes remaining. The order came up finally and we checked the bags to ensure we had received the correct selections. We had not. We were then told that we either had to take the options they'd given us or wait some more for the correct ones.

We now had limited time to return to the conference and eat something beforehand; we opted not to wait further. We didn't bother to correct the amount charged and paid for orders never received.
I'm sure the employees regular partake of the establishment fare which makes this a testament to how bad chain fast food is not just for the body but the mind. Dopes.

  2. Pretty dirty, cashiers aren't well-versed in English, something's always missing from my order, and there's always a homeless person in the front asking for change. Sometimes they'll make the effort to walk over and shake their cup in your face while you're standing in line. When you come, you'll also have a one in three chance to watch some customer yell at the cashiers.

Other than that, the food is pretty standard but the service is a bit on the slower end. I'm just glad I don't have to sit and eat in here.

  3. Very convenient location as it is right outside a friend's subway stop and bus stop.  But the first time I ate here I got food poisoning for 3 days … so needless to say, I'm NEVER going back.

  4. Lunch in the Bronx calls for crispy fried chicken, greasy and high cholesterol content.

Cashiers are LEP- Limited English Proficiency as I specifically requested two pieces of mild chicken and one biscuit (no drink) $5.47.  The cashier continuously persisted if I would like a second side but I refused.  "What?" and "huh?" When counting my change out of a $20.00 the cashier only gave me $4.00 and I was ripped off from my hard earned money.  Never returning again!

This Kingsbridge, Bronx location always have a resident panhandler lingering by the entrance begging for money.  Food quality is standard and average of mass produced and franchise.
