Located right outside the downtown 1 station on 28th, this place is a fast, easy option for me on my way home after a long day of work or class. Like any of the thousands of other halal carts, they follow the tried and true formula with all the usual suspects like chicken and rice (personal favorite), lamb, gyros,…etc. with red and/or white sauce. All for 5 bucks.
The guy operating the cart at night is super pleasant and hard working and I always have a little chat with him while he prepares my food.
Despite the convenient location and pleasant proprietor, the cart only gets 2 stars from me because the food is really sub-par. The chicken was luke-warm and had too much skin and gristle and the lettuce was pretty wilted. Lucky for them, my laziness will keep me coming back.
Just fine (I've had worse generic halal) and the guy is friendly. Don't be deterred by the 2-star review below. It's good stuff.
