  1. I came here on Friday during their soft opening week. This just opened near my job. My co-workers and I came here for lunch. One of my co-workers ordered the Reina Pepiada Arepa  which has chicken salad and avocado for $7. This is a healthier option since the arepa is not fried and the ingredients are simple. I ordered Pabellon Arepa which is shredded beef, black beans, white cheese, and sweet plantains for $8. I'm assuming my arepa was fried cause mine was crispy but not oily at all. I tried my co-worker's arepa and it was soo good. They put plenty of sliced avocados on it. Mine arepa was even better!! The shredded beef was tasty along with the sweet plantain, it was explosion of flavors in my mouth. I will warn you, at first the arepa looks small when you get it. I was actually worried when I saw my order. BUT it is filling! They really stuff the arepa. I was full after my pabellon. I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be visiting here often since it's right next to my job.

  2. Phenomenal fast food worth the money….

First of , people are usually afraid of stepping foot in Newark but Newark has actually changed tremendously… OK u might still have to lock your car doors , have your windows rolled up, ignore the crackheads and look over your shoulder but there are cameras everywhere in and out this restaurant u almost forget you're in Newark ( I did say almost), the food here is actually worth getting stabbed for… and it's cheap….

The owners are 2 sons and their momma and they're extremely friendly and welcoming … I felt like I was at their house.. they continually kept checking up on hubby and I (every 2.5 seconds) .. very accommodating….

So I decided to order the arepa with shredded beef and a shredded beef empanada….
Hubby ordered a humongous chicken burger with the WORKS and a chicken patty…
Like my mom says the eye is bigger than the stomach , I was full with a couple of bites and my hubby was full with half a burger ….

My beef arepa was delicious : the arepa was nice and crispy and they wasn't stingy with the beef … it was well seasoned and they didn't just use adobo like most Hispanic restaurants … u were actually able to taste the garlic , peppers , and cilantro marinated in the beef… now I can't tell u how my empanada was because I could barely finish my arepa… But I had a bite of my hubby's chicken empanada and it hit the spot… The chicken wasn't dry at all and it was fresh … he also enjoyed his chicken burger very much so…

(Don't forget the delicious cilantro sauce and garlic sauce to go along with your arepa or burger, better than ketchup and mayo)

Also this place is fairly new and they have down packed , u wait a little but once u try the food u will understand why…

I have nothing bad to say Service was spectacular…
And the food  was even better…

Upon leaving everyone said bye and asked if we honestly enjoyed their food ….
And our answer was YES ….
